Mate, I don't think it's so cut and dry between the Injections and the Specials. They were adding what are considered Special parts to cars before the launch of the Special and with yours only being a few months away from launch, I wouldn't be surprised if it came with the colour coding and wheels. As far as I can tell there isn't much info out there so you'd have to find other examples of late cars like yours to figure it out. Mine is November '83 and it only has the 5 speed box so I can't help with info on the cosmetics but I feel your pain with the throttle cable! I've found that the new ones can still be a little bit sticky/jerky but if you find a good one then please let me know where you got it from because it can be really annoying in slow speed traffic! get yourself some sharktooths, lattace alloys look stupid on a 4wd - they make late cars look dated aswell, look like a 2wd - wrong wheels in my mind, but each to their own - if youve git to budget youve got ti budget - lattace look wrong on that car it deserves better mate, sorry!

This is the first part i've watched of your restoration, as a 19yo that is into cars and now l3 qualified in mechanics, id love to restore and own my own sierra cosworth one day as it is one of my dream cars. Older cars just do it better. ill definitely be catching up with the previous episodes

You need to fit the left hand dash pocket in while you can still get to the back of it as the clips are very difficult to get in The stereos can deteriate even when not in use my car had the CD option which worked perfectly when removed but now only gives poor sound when switched on for two hours Best of luck

where i lived 30 years ago the was a very large chuck of land where we used to ride are dirt bikes and that was the last time i seen a Cosworth dumped in the trees striped like that but it had no wheels and doors i for got all about that till i seen yours ,,it was set on fire later that day shame to see a nice car gone

I've got a one owner Sportka Se with all the extras on an 04 plate with 60k on, well it was one owner till I transferred it from her name to mine when she left! Still runs like a dream! Not been used for 13years. Still on it original rear tyres which are split to death... Putting through MOT this Friday. With new tyres obviously.

Best wheels, worst color, exhaust tips wrong for the year. Otherwise, great car! - I have a 2006 XKR Victory Edition convertible in Jaguar Racing Green. Unfortunately, not the BBS wheels.

I just bought a 2007 X-type Sovereign 3.0 AWD and the road tax was £710 (£745 if paid monthly by direct debit)..!! I disagree with the bonnet motif though. To me they just look out of place on these smaller cars.

It's great to see the capri on the road being used rather than locked away in some dusty garage. I could quite easily go back to a capri 40 years on my first decent car mk 1 in blue 👌👌

Hi Andy hope you are all keeping well! So pleased to hear the sierra has come home cannot believe it’s been nearly 12 months your collection video from Scotland seems like yesterday! It’s been fantastic coming along on the journey and seeing all of the very hard work which has been done it will look and drive like or even better than new! Well done on the headlining often a pig of a job and also the soldering of the new loom such a shame after everything for the loom to be damaged and the stereo is a great upgrade! Soldering looked fine... Couple of quids worth of heat shrink would've made the loom look as good as the rest of the car though...
