why one of the most knowledgeable and smartest professional in the fitness industry don´t provide a whole beginner fitness course how to build muscle the right way from scratch? I don´t get it and I´m sure countless beginners would benefit from it

Hey my friend. I’ve definitely considered it. I’m even considering making more beginner content on KZfaq. It’s a lot more enjoyable helping people that are actually looking for the help and appreciate the guidance.

Me and my son Gabe have been working out together for a while now. I have him do bands currently (he turns 13 on the 5th of February). I have been at it since I was 14 and I turn 53 in April couldn't imagine my life without working out, to be honest. What age do you think is good to get him on the actual iron? I was thinking 13 or 14 but I am always open to input.

So I did something similar with my son. He started with bands when he was 14. Nothing serious or very consistent but it gave him a foundation. When he turned 16 is when he asked me about lifting weights. That was the same age I started. Personally I don’t think there’s anything wrong with “responsible” resistance training even earlier but where I think there’s an issue is when they start trying to go too heavy too soon. Besides the issue of them still growing there’s also the concern with connective tissues which doesn’t strengthen as fast a muscle does.

@@JamesGrage That is what I was thinking about as well. I am not sure how heavy weight lifting will affect him growth-wise. I think I will get him training with light weights and mostly full-body workouts. He has been using bands with me off and on since COVID-19. I always gave him the lightest band and had him work alongside me. I figured that it is never really too early to just learn the movements and names of the exercises. Thanks for the input I greatly appreciate it.
