This "Poop Cure" recipe is quick and easy, and a great addition to your daily routine! Have a spoonful every morning (see recipe) for easy digestion and smooth elimination. You'll experience less constipation, less straining, and better pelvic health.
RECIPE
Stir together equal parts:
-oat bran (I use gluten-free oat bran)*
-unsweetened applesauce
-prune juice
*Instead of oat bran, you can substitute wheat germ, freshly ground flax seed, or psyllium husk. If you use psyllium husk, you'll need to use MORE applesauce and prune juice.
DIRECTIONS
-After stirring together the three ingredients, cover and refrigerate.
-When you're ready to eat this mixture (i.e. EVERY MORNING) spoon out 1-2 Tablespoons of the mixture into a small bowl. Add a small amount of boiling water, and stir. Drink, or eat with a spoon.
-Use mixture within 3-4 days.
The fiber (bran), pectin (applesauce), and sorbitol (prune juice) in this recipe are great for digestion. Eating this warm + liquidy mixture every morning will stimulate an easy + smooth bowel movement! 💩

Thank you Dr. Bri! I eat one similar in the evenings with a tall water glass (very warm water which is what I prefer drinking)of water immediately afterwards. My recipe (eaten all at once) is a well rounded tablespoon of ground flax and same measurement of ground chai seed mixed in to about a half a cup or less of unsweetned applesauce. I stir it up really well and let it set about 10 minutes and eat it after supper. I liked the idea of mixing warm water in the AM and eating your recipe that way. I plan to change it up a bit and try it!

**YES** about the warm water immediately afterward! That's great! I think that sufficient hydration is one thing that most people miss when it comes to fiber... they don't consume enough liquid to help move it through. Your recipe sounds great, and I hope you'll try my variation as well. Enjoy!

What would you recommend if you have the opposite of constipation? I want my stools to be better formed and not too soft? So they will come out looking normal and not in spurts of really soft clumps of poop. Would one be able to adjust the recipe with something to firm them up a bit? Thank you for any help you can give to me. I'm new to watching your videos and I'm so glad that I found and have subscribed to your wonderful You Tube channel.

Also before bed and blood sugar not as much an issue unless hypoglycemic. Can try stewed prunes for a bit less sugar and or magnesium oxide. Warm water or sipping cup of hot tea on empty stomach in morn. Doesn’t need lemon warm water will help peristalsis. 😉

Dr. Bri! Would organic grape juice be ok instead of prune juice? Also, dried prunes sometimes work for and sometimes not, but we keep ours in the fridge and find the brand Sunsweet tastes best. No more than 2 a day.
@vibrantpelvichealth
@vibrantpelvichealth Жыл бұрын
I'm sure the grape juice would taste fantastic; however, prune juice contains sorbitol (which has a laxative-like effect) and I'm NOT SURE if grape juice does. However, even if you sub grape juice for prune juice, you'd still be getting the benefits of the other ingredients. Or heck, you could try stewing the dried prunes you have (in the fridge) in water and blending it up to create your own homemade prune juice! :) I'm all about experimentation!
@keeliekalayidol8876
@keeliekalayidol8876 Жыл бұрын
@@vibrantpelvichealth I don't know why I'm just today seeing your reply. I didn't realize sorbitol isn't in grape juice. I did try your recipe and it's great. Although I eat refrigerated prunes a few times a week I was hesitant about prune juice 😅 Have you ever tried the 1/4 cup organic tomato juice with 1 TB evoo (organic extra virgin olive oil) on an empty stomach first thing in the morning? It's supposed to help with natural collagen in our bodies and help flush toxins. What are your thoughts on this? New video? 🤔🙃 LOVE your advice and content ❤

Best to take on an empty stomach in the AM? Or split dose in three and take after meals? Thanks for sharing this!
@vibrantpelvichealth
@vibrantpelvichealth Жыл бұрын
I recommend taking it on an empty stomach in the AM along with plenty of warm water. In my experience, that's been the most successful! However, I know that some people like taking it before bed, as well, to work its magic overnight.

@vibrantpelvichealth
@vibrantpelvichealth Жыл бұрын
I'm not familiar with that blend, but it sounds great... is it ground up, or are the seeds whole? If they're whole, you might want to lightly grind them in a coffee grinder to break them up and release the nutrients from the flax seeds. And you might need to add more liquid since chia soaks up so much. But worth trying!
@MsACC2011
@MsACC2011 Жыл бұрын
I wonder if this is like taking a laxative in that it inhibits nutrient absorption of the food you've eaten. Like, does it make it pass through too quickly? I have issues with incompleteness.
