In this video I give my final thoughts on A Change in the Wind by fellow booktuber and independent Christian author Nikki Mellado. This is Nikki's first book in the Hanika Vienta Mystery Series. We follow Hanika as she tries to solve the murder of her parents while also trying to find her place with God.

I like the "lost faith" trope in books and movies. If done right, you get a fulfilling character arc (good personal journey and spiritual renewal). It's hard to pull off, but when done right, it's excellent.

I agree. I always wonder tho... if you truly believe how you lose that faith... I haven't been tested to that point yet so I can't say I wouldn't for certain but I would hope I was like Lot in the Bible. Guess we don't know till we are tested. Thanks for dropping a comment!

@@areyouready22 I really appreciate that! Funny you say that because I recently tried doing these more structured with notes and it sounded awful so I scratched them... I still have notes just to make sure I don't forget anything I wanted to mention but I just let it rip from the top of my head... They just sound more real. The other way I was trying I sounded like I had no emotion and it felt fake... Ok sorry for rambling but I really appreciate your comment. Have a great week.

Glad you thought the review went well... I'm not going to lie... I like the 2nd review better than this one. I was thinking the same thing... I seem to love to read quotes from God inspired things... You are right I haven't read anything other than CS Lewis and now your book ... But nothing else that I've read hits home like the two books I read from... I loved that mercy saying... It was so good... So fitting and true... Loved it .. can't wait for you to see the next one... That book really got me thinking... And qe need to talk about Cameron after that review is out. 😂

I and the algorithm always appreciate this. :) Thinking of you the other day... I've been having some algae bloom in my 1.5 acre pond for 3 years... the horse manure drained into it one winter/spring and has made a mess of it. It gets better every year but do you have any suggestions? I have grass carp but they don't really eat that kind of stuff... I skim out as much as I can but that's a huge area... I'm feeling chemicals are the only way to actually defeat this thing and I hate doing that... I also have bass and bluegill in this pond so I would hate to use something that might kill them off. I doubt you are an expert in this area but I thought I would throw it out there. Thanks!

@FacelessBookReviews yeah I have no actual experience with thus at all haha. I know some plants make it hard for algae to compete for some reason but at 1.5 acres don't know if that's really viable or not
