In this video... besides butchering the creators channel name... mispronounce many words, forgetting who I wanted to tag I actually attempt the This or That Tag. I have a feeling this may be the worst video for any tag ever done on Booktube... I will wear that honor proudly... lol I apologize to the original creators of this video for doing your tag some serious injustice.
I was tagged by Pete ‪@BooklessPete‬
The original tag was created by Ros ‪@scallydandlingaboutthebook2711‬
and Elisabeth ‪@bouquinsbooks‬
THE PROMPTS:
Use this tag to talk about what you like or dislike in nonfiction about people. Pick the prompts that appeal to you or allow you to enjoy being opinionated. Do mention books good and bad as you go along.
1) Big, fat and detailed biographies or short and succinct biographies?
2) Celebrity memoirs or average Joe memoirs?
3) Complete correspondence or selected letters?
4) Memoirs written when the events are fresh or memoirs written with hindsight?
5) Gossipy biographies or scholarly biographies?
6) Diaries of ordinary life or diaries of extraordinary events?
7) Arty memoirs or sporting memoirs?
8) Gritty autobiographical writing or inspirational autobiographical writing?
9) Biographies of historical figures or biographies of contemporary figures?
10) Memoirs of happy days or memoirs of tragic days?
11) Bonus prompt from Elisabeth: The Complete Diary of Samuel Pepys (over 4000 pages or 116 hours and 16 minutes of audiobook) or Selections from the Diary of Samuel Pepys (which can be as short as 120 pages or 3 hours and 55 minutes of audiobook)?
12) Tag some others:
I would like to tag my friend Andrew ‪@hypersanitybooks4-kids‬
In the video I could not think of your channel name so I apologize, it was all part of the chaos of this entire video.
Hope you enjoy the train wreck.

I’m with you on the shorter memoirs. I don’t feel like reading about people’s misery right now, but sometimes I like to! 😂 I’m glad you got the lawn done. I’m sure in a few days it will be ready to be mowed again😂 . Fun answers to the tag!

Ok well now I can put you and Anne from In Search of Wonders in the same group... she said a sim. thing on the misery. We wanna read it because it isn't our misery... LOL I love it!!! Yeah the lawn has probably been done 4 times since that video. LOL We have clay where I'm at so it stays nice and damp and the grass grows amazing here... our old house we lived in sand it the lawn was awful... so bad. LOL Thanks for watching and dropping a comment... always appreciated!

Thanks Cheryl (Hope that is how you spell it) I recorded this a few weeks ago and when I was editing I had forgotten the geese where there... I was like... Oh cool geese. LOL I'm glad I can make you guys laugh... It's kind of what I do... It's more of a comic relief with a few rants here and there as well as a dash of bookish stuff. LOL So I also just remembered I never finished you last video... I was listening to it on the way home but wasn't able to finish it... so now I have to go finish... see you in your comments!!! :)

I enjoyed the mowing. It brought back memories of my summer job at a golf course as a kid ages ago and I did this day after day. Mowing is good for reflection! Oh, and Pepys is pronounced "Peeps" but, yeah, go with the short version!😉👍

I used to work on a golf course as well. You are right mowing is great for reflection... I do a ton of thinking while mowing... and thank you for the pronunciation of Pepys. As you could tell I had not idea and I don't think I would ever have said peeps. LOL TY!

Funny you should say that we don’t often see anyone mowing the lawn on BookTube. Would you believe that JUST yesterday, I watched a vlog by EllenmadeBookclub in which she mowed a huge lawn at her cabin in Sweden! What are the odds? I’m at the gym, watching you from a treadmill. You are cracking me up! 😊😂

Love your honesty. Though I am almost through Bruce Campbells book If Chins Could Talk. As an audiobook narrated by himself is not too bad and it felt like he was more genuine in the audiobook. Just a bit of thought on audiobook narration. Thanks again for being you.

Well that is interesting that he is narrating his own book. Sorry I was drawing a blank on the channel... I knew I should have written it down... I just knew that when I saw this tag it was something I thought you might have a bit of insight on. No pressure to do it as I know how hard it is to get to tags... I'm so far behind on all the ones I was tagged in.

Wow what a different kind of tag lol. I wouldn't have much input cuz I don't read bios or memoirs. I love certain actors and their movies but i just watch youtube videos on the character or their interviews. I do own a kirk cameron, nick foles, and drew brees autobiographies. But honestly, they'll probably just sit on my shelf for decoration😂 Love the geese and the flowers!

Steve Martin's "Born Standing Up" is a good memoir that is about 200 pages. If you're a fan of his, it's worth checking out and you can usually pick up a used copy for a few bucks. Funny and poignant.

I think that I understand why you chose Happy over Tragedy, because Happy would be more uplifting and stuff like that. But I prefer Tragedy for stories like The Titanic and The Donner Party, Jack The Ripper and others. Not that I like tragedies I just think it would be more of an Historic read. However, Happy could have Historic stories too. Anyway, Thank you for Not killing the snake. I do not like it when people kill snakes for no reason, Great video. -James

My version of this tag was also a lot of guess work! But I'm intrigued to read more biographies. And I agree that ordinary good people are more interesting than celebrities. And a celebrity can of course be interesting as well, but not simply because they're famous. Love me a bit of misery though, sadly. Omg did you say anything right in this video?! Audio written auto grit! 😂 You have a great voice though, so I'll allow it! And you definitely win on mowing results, although I think mine was a bit more challenging ^^

LOL yes this video was a struggle but if you stick around this happen often and I've decided I'm cutting my editing down to almost none at this point. LOL 1 it takes too much time and 2. it's great entertainment at my expense. LOL Yes you had a way harder challenge... I actually feel like I cheated mowing my lawn compared to what you had to do... But I did help mow my neighbors yard... did you do that? HMMM? Thanks for the voice complement I'm still waiting for audiobooks to call me so I can start making some series money... :)

@@FacelessBookReviews I hear you, editing takes a lot of time!
