Oh now you’ve gotten into gender roles… I have more thoughts on that than what could fit into a comment. What I will say is that no matter what one’s idea of “a man” is, or what is “manly” or “womanly” or feminine or whatever - it’s always going to be a generalization that does nobody any good. We are more complex than that, as humans. If everyone could just stop deciding how other people should be, that would be great. If two people, whatever gender, are in a relationship and respect each other and come up with a system that works for them, and communicate about their wants and needs and play to each other’s strengths and show appreciation for that in whatever way the other person appreciate, it does not matter who is being more “feminine” or “masculine”. It does not need to be defined in those terms. It might also depend on the day and lots of other things. When my partner is low, I step up, when I’m low, he steps up. That being said, what gives you butterflies might be a different thing. And I think that’s what confuses people sometimes. But I don’t care if Tarzan himself comes and picks me up “like a real man” - if he doesn’t respect me as an equal, or if he expects me to always follow his lead and be docile, he can go right back to the apes. That’s just me. I won’t unsubscribe to your channel, because I think we should all be allowed to express our opinions and we don’t always have to agree. And I don’t think you said anything offensive, as long as you’re not pushing it on anyone else. I just had to say my piece. Or part of it 😊 And again, all that being said, whatever works for you is great, and if reading helped you figure some of that out, that’s great too. There is nothing wrong with wanting or finding comfort in traditional roles, if both people in the relationship are for it. It’s just the generalization and definitions that get me going. And there’s nothing wrong with crying either. In my opinion.
@FacelessBookReviews

Well you certainly get the award for longest comment... LOL I think you beat even my longest comment and God knows I love to leave comments. :) My response would be that my point in this video wasn't to tell people how they should live. It was actually quite the opposite. I realize my opinion on things are going to be unpopular because they are of a Biblical nature. I realize I'm not going to be liked by certain people because of that, I know I'm not going to be taken serious by certain people because of it and I know certain people are going to think I'm an idiot because of it... I know all this and I'm ok with that. I agree with you... everyone can be who they are, feel how they want to feel and think how they want to think. It is not my job to tell them they can't be that way, I'm not God. But at the same time I refuse to be told I have to feel a certain way or think a certain way or be a certain way because they aren't God either. That was more my point in the video. I respect what you said because you didn't tell me I should be like you. Just like I didn't say people should be like me. I merely stated my person thought on a topic. I knew saying it might offend people but I should be able to say what I think just like they should be able to say what they think, as long as it is done with respect... I also am aware that my actions might have consequences. I realize if someone doesn't like my opinion that person might unsubscribe or leave a nasty comment. I believe we are are free to say what we want but we all need to know that when we do them there may be consequences for those actions... I would say this is something that has been lost a little with being accountable for our actions. (that's a whole other rant.) Lastly I would like to say I appreciate you for your opinion even if we don't see eye to eye on this subject or other subject for that matter. I like that we are able to be civil in our disagreement and move on from there... it's what they use to do in the old days before we lost that ability to debate with each other without calling each other names, labelling each other and hating each other. So thank you for your comment I feel it was brave to speak your mind and I appreciate that... hopefully we can find other things we do agree on which would be nice. :)
@ellenmadebookclub

@@FacelessBookReviews I do tend do leave long comments ^^ And when it gets into feminist territory, I can't help myself haha! (Just to be clear, since there are many versions of feminism, I'm just for equality and everyone's right to live their life the way they want. I'm not a manhater and I don't pretend to know what's best for other women either.) I don't really think we disagree exactly, it's more that we have different views and preferences and wouldn't be a great match, which is absolutely fine! 😂 I don't want or need you to change your views or preferences, you do you and you are absolutely free to speak your mind. I just wanted to add my piece to the conversation, since you opened the door for it, and I think it's a conversation that benefits from different views. Which was kind of my point anyway. Any way people want to live is fine by me, as long as it's not harmful to or imposed on anyone else. Thank you for hearing me out, I appreciate a civil discussion just like you, and we already agree on two things: People's right to live their lives the way they see fit and people's right to express their opinions without being punished for it.

Interesting and varied TBR! King's 11/22/63 was my gateway to King and I really liked because I am a JFK assassination obsessed nerd. The rest of King's work that I have read, with some exceptions, not so much.

Well I'm glad to hear you liked it... I've yet to hear anything bad about it yet. 100 pages in and I'm enjoying it. Love the concept so much... Do you believe JFK was killed by a lone person? Love to hear your take on this... I don't know enough about it but I'm bit of a "I don't trust our government" type that I feel there was something fishy going on here... but that's just a hunch... Feel free to email me if you wanna keep this private.... that is if you even want to talk about it. LOL [email protected] Only if you want... otherwise here is fine or even a..."I don't want to share" works too. LOL See how easy I am. :)

@@FacelessBookReviews The mechanics of the single assassin have never worked for me. Oswald was a marksman for sure but there are other circumstances that are too coincidental for my liking. The key for me is Jack Ruby, who was a known mob guy, who was familiar with Oswald before the assassination. Also, Sam Giancano had helped Joseph Kennedy deliver the votes in Chicago that helped JFK win the 1960 election with the implied deal that the mob would be left alone to do business. Then JFK and RFK essentially double-crossed the Mafia with the zealous war on organized crime. I believe the assassination was an organized hit with at least 2 gunmen. This is a simplistic overview but I recommend you listen to the podcast Who Killed JFK by Rob Reiner and it is logically developed with the various elements. The reason I am so interested is I was in 7th grade when the assassination took place and I remember the complete stunned silence after the news was announced on the school PA that afternoon. I'll never forget it.

@@binglamb2176 That is some awesome insite and thank you for sharing... The Ruby thing is too coincidental... Anytime you hear crickets after something major you know something is up... And now when something happens it's always explained 24 hours later. 😂 I wanna live in the wild west days... I might have stunk like a pig but it took forever for news to travel. 😂

You are literally the 1st person to ask me what my name is in 6 months of doing talking head KZfaq videos and I've been waiting for someone to ask. It wasn't a secret or anything. I thought it would be fun to see if anybody would ask. I guess it's natural for people to wonder but not always feel comfortable asking out right. I was talking with a friend from high school about how we are more assertive with people as we get older and aren't afraid to tell people to "cut the crap" or ask someone their name. I think you'll really enjoy Thor since you're a dog owner and you'll get a newfound respect on how they view you as "dad". Dogs really do respect their owners rules. Unless, you have a Chihuahua. They hate rules. Yours Truly Mr. McLovlin Gobbledygook Scott. My name is Scott.

That is hilarious because when I was asking this question... in the back of my mind I was thinking "I'm probably showing what a hypocrite I am by saying how much I love his videos and he is one of the people who says his name at the beginning of each video" LOL Then I was thinking I could always check his channel and see if it is in the description but that was clearly too much work. :) I think it's funny you were actually waiting to see when someone would ask. Leave it to me to be the one. LOL You are right tho as you get older you just realize it's ok to just say what needs to be said or ask... I mean I would never do it to be purposely rude but... what's the worst that can happen they ignore your question and then make up a fake name like Mr. McLovlin Gobbledygook??? Funny part on this was my screen was minimized so I actually thought you didn't answer until I saw the scroll bar and see you did answer. LOL I now see if we are going to be friends I need to up my game... I've been on top for so long I forget what it's like to actually have some competition with other witty humorous people... All my real friends are lame and dumb... really no competition at all. So I'm not very far but I have started Thor... Maybe 1 chapter in and I know I'm going to love it just from that little bit... I may have the wife and kids read it after so they can see how dads should be idolized... I need some damn respect around here!!! Nice to meet you Scott... "narrowing eyes" if that is your true name....

@@FacelessBookReviews Ahhhh everybody is watching my last 2 videos now. Thanks for the shoutout. My nephews and I just watched your video so hopefully they subscribed (if they know what is good for them). They said if my head gets any bigger I might not fit through the door. To be honest, if you are looking for friends, try catfishing folks on Farmer's Only. Strictly platonic stuff about the peacefulness of the country. You are right about "narrowing eyes" but I couldn't keep that cat in the bag for long. I'll be filming some family vacation stuff with nieces and nephews soon so it would be hard to have them all call me a fake name. Or maybe me being their Uncle will be faked........

@@someothercharacter Glad to hear you are getting some love... I swear if my subscribers don't love you I will quit! LOL catfishing folks on Farmer's Only... LOL I've got the smelling like cow manure so I have that going for me... probably would make a few friends but let's be honest do they know how to read? What would we talk about? I don't know... I will have to think about this avenue towards friends. What I like about your channel is it's like the mainstream news... you never know what is actual truth or false B/S. 🤣

11-22-63 is the one and only Stephen King book that I plan on reading someday. I've heard quite a few Booktubers say how good it is. As for friends, I'm with you in the Lonely Hearts Book Club. Remember, I take a backseat from Bella! when my wife is home. So even man's best friend isn't my friend. At least you have your pooches! -James & ....not Bella!
