There are so many incredible abandoned places in Arizona. I explore some incredible places left behind forever. Two Guns, Twin Arrows, and of course I had to tour through the Apache Death Cave. Arizona never lets me down.

My Fathers 2nd wifes family owned Twin Arrows. The backroom was partially an office, but the owners lived in the back. The small apartment in the back was just that. One of the truck drivers employed by them lived there. I spent my childhood summers there. A scene from Forrest Gump was filmed there also...

The tourist spot with a Restaurant, Zoo and the Store/Museum over the Apache Death Cave was built by a man who called himself Chief Two Guns, He moved it from the town of Diablo 10 or 15 miles north when Route 66 took the traffic and business from the 1920's Auto Trails system that went alongside the 1890's train route and the buildings in Diablo caught fire

On the way out some people taking some pics just stared at us as we drove our RV out of the apocalyptic KOA.

I was in Two Guns in May 2018 with my son. That chair was moved to the center of the room when I was there. My son sat down in it. I didn't think it was a good idea. Got a picture of him on it though. There was a broken ladder on the back side of the Kamp building that he climbed up to the second level. There was evidence that someone was staying there. I refused to let him climb down into the cave as I was worried about rattlesnakes down there so it is interesting to see what it looks like from inside.

Can't wait for the sth the fan, y'all middle class are gonna love our lifestyle. But might I suggest you practice being poor. The hardest part for y'all is the happy part. Y'all think you want be happy. Maybe not at first but once you are homeless it's not so bad. You experience so many more miricals on a daily basis.if your bills are 4 grand a month you need 4 grand to prove God exist, but for me...... Just to be treated like a human by another human is glorious. And I've had a guy hand me 434.00 at one time. Got me home on an Amtrak. as a kid my parents took me on rt 66 from the St. Lewis arch, all the way out. at that time two guns was boarded up and had signs saying they were seeking funding to preserve it. clearly, they never got the funding. when i saw two arrows by 93 im pretty sure the gas station and gift shop were closed. the death cave was marked, "no trespassing" and boarded up with chains to keep people out. i saw the entrance but there was no real way in back then. sad to see the vandals got to most of it, but still cool.

It really was a lot nicer for the survival of the towns people and the Normal Traveler to hop off the interstate take a break, have a soda and take a look around some of these older towns. I was just through this whole area for the last couple years doing u-ship work coming outta North Texas to that region and the west coast. So many Americans don't realize what a rich history we have in the Southwest. It's a shame really. Arizona and New Mexico are just loaded with these old trading Post style places and sadly most are closed or closing because young people would rather live in a virtual world instead of the real world. My mom who is elderly lives in the Ozarks of Missouri which is where I am at the moment doing some much needed repairs to her home and Rt 66 goes through here And Oklahoma. It's so cool. Almost time for me to get back out on the road working again and I thank you for sharing this it reminded me just how much I miss the traveling, it's a great way to work. Your office is whatever is in your windshield every day. Very cool.

I really really enjoy your videos. I'm saddened that the Apache death cave isn't preserved. That's a piece of history but like Canada where I'm from we try and hide what was done. I liked your videos because you bring me to places that I want to see and explore myself but can't, plus the US has more interesting road side attractions and abandoned places etc. Keep up the good work my friend. Cheers

I remember going across the desert, and seeing places like this when they were inhabited back in the sixties. Everybody would buy those canvas Desert Water Bags, and hang them over the front end of their cars to keep water for their radiators and drinking. This was back when water was free, and no one bought bottled water.

Wow, I love old route 66 history and the roadside attractions. Sadly people are ruining them.
