Couple thoughts: I think Ice Finn is just a flashback, assuming Prismo is going to bring Fiona and Cake up to speed about what happened to make the different universes start glitching. Editing the timeline was probably a big Cosmic no-no, like how Cosmic Owl got tricked by Gunther. I wonder if the egg is a Mundane Egg, or World Egg, being brought to someone to create a new world or universe as a way to fix whatever's wrong with the multiverse. There's a lot of symbolism around eggs that could pop up.

i saw an idea that with how focused primo is in these trailers could it be possible the jake we see is the jake that revived prismo, this would explain how finn is older than in obsidian, has the tattoo, and why jake i still there

@judicia_alt1792 I'm on the fence about that, because Prismo can't exist without a host body and he's all over this trailer, but I also wouldn't rule it out. I think it's more likely Jake's from one of the universes, there's probably going to be some criss crossing going on.

you mentioned that farm world finn can be identified by the arm attachments. i think the biggest indicator of him being a farm world finn is the whole arm - his whole arm is mechanic, starting from a shoulder. ooo world finn still has a part of his arm and the rest is mechanic

9:54 finn saying "are you thinking what I'm thinking" implies that it's almost definitely finn planning to become the jake suit, a part of me wonders if this is just a dream sequence still and the egg jake is holding is likely just one they stole from the giant chicken but based on a leaked clip for this show there's a scene where finn save simon from a giant swamp monster and he looks like he had been living in that swamp for presumably years. maybe that's where finn went to after jake died but i still feel like that scene is either a memory or a dream sequence

I think Jake is more than likely dreamer ("old man Prismo") woken up again. Maybe Prismo knew Finn would need Jake's help and got him to wake the alternate Jake up. The Jake that we ended the series with is dead (hence the tattoo) but the other Jake is alive, which we know because we see Prismo. Another thing is that the "other Jake" didn't have his time with an egg so it'd make sense that he reacts the same as "our Jake" with one. Also, the egg is definitely the rooster-chicken thing's egg.

This is a really interesting theory! Having jake not dead after his absence plus the tattoo in Obsidian felt like kind of a cop out to me, so I hope its something more interesting like this. I will say though, one problem with this theory is that the "dreamer" jake's appearance morphs to be that of old man prismo after prismo is revived. Not that it would be impossible for him to turn back once woken up, but makes it feel less likely to me.

I'm under the assumption it's just Jake. Obsidian implied he died in Finn's young adulthood and Together Again confirmed that he dies first but never strictly said when. To me it would be weird to have Finn team up with an identical copy of Jake after his death, since that would make their reunion in the afterlife less impactful.

Remember that episode when Jake and Finn were trying to bring back prismo because he died and then got brought back by putting a version of jake in a sleep trance? What if Finn had waken up that version of jake after the original jake had died and that's the jake we see in the trailer? If i didn't explain clearly watch the episode "Is that you" season 6 episode 19.

I got more to prove my theory, in some scenes of the trailer you can see them in a reddish purple place that has square tiles all around the floors walls and ceilings, this place looks very similar to the area in the episode "is that you" in adventure time, where the alternate jake is sleeping.

In a multiverse of one choice or another, or another, an alternate reality would still exist, in which Finn never succeeded in stopping Ice Finn and the Lich, or getting Prizmo to destroy the crown. So, Ice Finn, and the Lich, will always exist one way or another, in some part of the multiverse.

Well if i had to say maybe finn just decide to travel around to other places for his new life since finn is not a kid anymore he may have decided to have his own home and jake must have been living with his wife and beside in the show they never did say about his death and the tattoo that finn has is a form of emotional support and love for his brother to remind him of jake when he is alone or traveling some where far as for ice king remember he was a tool to stop the end of a world with a wish but failed to do so with kunter the original one so ice king has the ability to see the future of to be able see other dimensions or there are other crowns exciting in other dimensions

imo, neither Finn nor Jake in that one scene are the ones we know, we already saw in the sneak peak Finn’s design with long hair, in the leak where Finn is introduced we see the long hair design again, they likely would introduce our Finn first instead of an AU Finn. I like your Chicken theory though.

I think the Jake we see is one of the two originals Jake. The Jake who has sleeping in the Prismo room to mantain Primo alive. At the end of the adventure he will have to sleep again. That explain the egg, the other Jake didn't live the "distant lands" so he never had the opportunity of taking care an egg. The Jake that lived the distant lands knew it was dangerous having an egg inside after what happened.

I feel like these youtubers are overlooking something very subtle yet very noticeable. The tattoo Fin has in the trailer and in "Together Again" are similar yet has one key different. The color of the flowers in "Together Again" is blue while the ones in the trailer are red. And I honestly don't think its an animation error because those same red flowers are seen the whole time in that scene. So maybe into yet another universe Fin from yet another universe.

comparing them, adult finn in the trailer has purple flowers in his tattoo while adult finn in obsidian has blue ones--forget-me-nots. I know it could just be the lighting or a coloring error but that might be an alt finn from a universe where jake didn't die 'til later? and he got a similar tattoo just w/ different flowers bc it wasn't commemorative / the artists liked the design element lol. I saw someone say there might not be that much multiverse stuff, but I thought that was like one of the main descriptors of the series, how it'd explore multiple universes, so I expect to see at least a couple alts of familiar characters (esp since we already have 2 finns in this trailer and like 3 ice kings)

There's also a third version of Finn I haven't seen many people talk about, and that's the version we see in the sneak peak, poster, and the leaked footage. We see him Climbing up a spiked cliff thing carrying Simon in the sneak peak, we then see him highlighted on the poster in light blue, then in the leaked footage we see him saving Simon from a monster. That Finn appearance wise has long flowing hair that sticks out the back of his signature Finn hat and a tiny bit of hair that sticks out the front above his forehead, he also has a shaggier and more pointed beard than the Finn we see with Jake in the trailer, he's also wearing shorts where the two other Finns wear pants, and he has a different robot arm than either Farmworld Finn or the Finn that's with Jake. Wonder what's the deal with him?

So are they both the main Finn from ooo at different points in time or are they different Finns? That's what I find really puzzling.

It would make sense that Jake is dead because firstly, in distant lands when finn is an old man, he dreams about jake's grave but he is his younger self. Secondly, dogs obviously live shorter lives so jake may had died of old age in dog years. I also have the feeling that he had passed because there have been two instances where finn is mentoring jake's kids in both obsidian episode and the second fiona and jake episode, maybe they wanted to get to know their deceased father more through adventuring with finn

When i originally saw finn with the arm blaster i thought it was strange that his prosthetic goes all the way to his shoulder, because finn's arm isn't cut off that high, and usually AT is pretty consistent about that stuff. I just brushed it off figuring it was an inconsistency, but i shouldn't have! It makes so much sense that it's actually farm world finn (who's prosthetic goes all the way up his arm). If you look at the prosthetic in each of his appearances throughout the trailer its clear which is which. I think this is really good evidence that the finn chopping the wood is actually farm world finn.

Oki oki oki Imma throw down this lil theory for shits and giggles. So Finn & Jake have finally passed away and made it to nirvana/afterlife. But once they got their Nirvana wasn't as great as they hoped it would be & decide to make it back to the land of the living. So Malus the gate keeper is trying to keep them from escaping nirvana together.
