Angelina has come to this world to inspire us to live better lives through both her music and her humanity. She always performs barefoot and here is the story why. At age 6, Angelina was travelling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother (who grew up in Iran as a prodigy for art and poetry). Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.

Here’s what you need to know. This was beautiful, but not unusual. There are dozens more that will amaze you. She is not a novelty child singer. At 15 now, she is incredibly good, but her earlier performances like this one are completely captivating. Pick any song you like at any age, and Angelina will impress you. Thanks for your nice reaction! Here is a quick recap of what was said in the beginning of the video: It was just over a month after Angelina won Norway Got Talent. Since then she has been at school, enjoyed herself, and of course singing a lot. For the summer vacation she is going to USA to both have fun and sing (I assume that's when she sang 'Fly me to the moon' at the View). The lady says that when she thinks about an eight year old girl during summer, she thinks about eating ice cream, go to the beach, and maybe go to an amusement park, and asks if Angelina has time for those things, and Angelina answers yes. The lady then asks if Angelina is ready to sing, and Angelina answers "Yes, I'm looking forward to it" and the lady says "If you are looking forward to it Angelina, you should just know how much we are looking forward to it." Then she introduces the song.

Wasn't that beautiful. One of my all time favorites. Watch it again and watch as she closes her eyes and drifts in her world which she has described as a "wonderful place" and takes us with her. She says she has never been nervous on stage. She was born to be there. She did take part in the after school program at the Oslo Waldorf School''s music program in her early years. I've heard it said that they had taught her everything they could and in essence she had learned all she could and they had little more they could teach. She has been practicing her trade especially since her first studio performance at 6 yrs old which I believe was at the Oslo School. She has arranged her own music from very early on. I have no doubt she worked closely with the band and backup singers to get the exact sound she wanted. All choices in what she sings is her decision. She sang mostly Jazz till she was 10 and then started doing everybody else. She is fearless as her choices clearly show.. She takes on the biggest songs from the biggest artist in the last century! Yes back to the early 1900's. And another example of her fearlessness is the fact that she will sing absolutely anything acappella and often does, especially on Tic-Toc and such. How many other artists have the confidence to do that!

As I asume even the back singing ladies also would want to do I think (rather discreetly of course) :-) But; - I never get to that, because I have to take care of the happy tears, streaming from my eyes and just all over the place. I loved your reaction. I think you went through a few phases of emotion during this song, as perhaps most of us do. It is hard to belive, and impossible to understand how what we see and hear infront of us in this video, - on that stage; - how can it can even take place in this world we thougt we knew. Sarah, she was 8 years old singing this. There are so many songs we can listen to from Angelina but this one will always remain my favorite. The purity of her soul always shines through and we cannot resist her charm. Her voice is her instrument and she is truly a messenger of love.

Angelina is 8 here and she sings in English! That's her third language. You know she's from Norway. There, everyone speaks Norwegian. From the age of 6, Angelina read and sing English texts and understand what everything means! She is amazing in many ways.

This was one month after she won Norwegian Talents (as it is called in Norway). She was interviewed about what shd had done the last month and what she will do during the summer. The audience did LISTEN to her with respect. They knew that her voice is liquid gold. No screaming. Most of the audience was far abow the screaming age anyway.
