First Time Picking Up In Laredo Texas

This was my first time picking up a truck at the Truckmovers lot in Laredo Texas. Hopefully my experience can help some of you picking up your first truck at Laredo. If you've never picked up a truck in Laredo Texas, I hope this video will help you with a few tips I give.

Thanks Don for the info on safety chains.Will have to treat you to Shakespeare pizza when in Mo. Pro Drive Away Man suggested its a good pizza place

Hi Don, does TruckMovers pay for my way back to Lerado, Texas after dropping off my load to its destination? Or do I have to pay my own way back to Lerado for another pick up load?

My chains are simply 5/16 Grade 70 tow chains from HomeDepot. They come in 20ft lengths. I bought two and cut one in half so I would have 2 10ft chains and one 20ft chain. I then bought some Grade 70 hooks off of Amazon and put them on all ends.

It's been quite a while since I picked up in Laredo (this video was shot in the Spring) but I think I received .65 per mile and of course, Intl covered the fuel cost.

@@DrivingWithDon ...yeap,,same as QDA but they used to add a pickup bonus of 50 bucks,not anymore.

@@yeetyeet6682 I think I've ran my course with QDA. They're bothering me to take or load or else, but I'm busy with better paying loads now plus they really don't have loads to be picked up where I like to run, mainly the midwest to the west.

@@DrivingWithDon hey Don. I been rolling with qda and they said for any Virginia runs we gota take a truck back to Ohio or what not. Sounds kinda forced disbatch idk. Jus not liking it so I didn't take it.
