There was a reason for it though. Director Zitto read a true story about someone getting murdered in New York. It was in public and nobody came to help. The guy was also saying the same line as in the movie. Zitto thought it was so eerie and distrurbing that he put it in the movie. The problem was in the execution, (pun intended) of the scene and it does unfortunately come off as comical. Cheers.

I mean considering all the murders that take place in that town, I'm surprised ANYONE would willingly live there. Maybe the real estate is cheap because of the murders.. maybe developers are in cahoots with Jason to keep Crystal Lake affordable!!!!

Yeah, it takes away from the enjoyment of the film. Her being honest doesn't make this fun entertainment for a reaction. She's so boring. And that's ME being honest about how I* feel. Watching her is like watching Siskle and Ebert trash the movie for 30 mins straight. No thanks. I'd rather enjoy this with other viewers who enjoy the movie and series. Naturally not everyone is going to agree or feel the same about these movies. But damn misery loves company. Her honest opinion doesn't match my hones opinion. And because I don't know her personally, I don't have to stick around for such a dense perspective. I honestly only clicked for Jason. But I'm leaving and clicking Don't Recommend This Channel because of her.

Also, Corey was for real scared in that window scene. The actor/stunt man Ted White, who played Jason in this movie, didn't like Feldman and thought he was a brat. They had worked out the timing of when White would grab Feldman beforehand, but during filming White waited a couple of beats to the point that Feldman assumed the stunt had gone wrong. So, just as he let his guard down White grabbed him and Feldman's reaction is what you see in the movie.

While you don't expect masterpiece theater, I have to agree that even for FT13th movies this one feels stilted. The dialogue/acting delivery is never great. But it seemed like there were a lot of scenes that were cut that would make it at least cohesive. The guy going after or hunting Jason is an interesting idea that is almost a "told not seen" trope. Obviously he's not going to kill Jason, but a couple more scenes could have given that storyline SOME substance. Have him like actually skulking around. Have him actually hunting Jason and being too late at the kill sites. Something to actually give it reason to even include in the script at all.

So the only thing I know that was cut was what became of the mom another dream sequence only this time the daughter finds her mother dead in the bathtub before Jason surprises her, but the studio felt it was too bleak. Which given what they end it on...kinda interesting to think about.

The actress who played Sam almost caught hypothermia from filming her death scene, as the water was so cold that night. The actor playing Jason threatened to quit if they didn't give the actress a break and let her warm up. This was supposed to be the last Friday the 13th movie. The execs at Paramount were starting to feel ashamed of the series, so they wanted to end it here. Then A Nightmare on Elm Street was released and revitalized the genre, so they made Friday the 13th Part 5. However, in Part 5, they did something that really pissed the fans off. the backstory to the girl in the lake skinny Dipping the actress nearly froze to death...she was stuck in the freezeing water for a long time to the point her skin was turning blue. she wanted to get out of the water but the director said no while they set up the scene. Finally the actor who played Jason saved her and defended her he noticed her skin turning blue and he demanded they get her out of the water and if they did not he was leaveing and quiting the film so the director finally got her out of water.

I've been waiting for this one! The guy that plays Jason in this is an older stuntman. You can see his "old-man run" a few times, he was in tons of films and old series though. Forgot his name, but the guy was suppose to have been a pretty well respected stunt-man, and horror and slasher films were pretty much his retirement job.

There are many really good kills in this movie because of Tom Savini, but I would say the Crispin Glover death. Not only was Glover's special dance memorable, but his death is also memorable. Asking for a corkscrew and he got it - through his hand and getting chopped with a meatclever. All the character's dialogue in these movies are all about sex and who they wanna get with, it all depends how they are written, but nobody expects great A-material dialogue in these movies =P I had the exact same thought like the Mrs. when I first saw it - Corey Feldman was the only smart character to ACTUALLY kill Jason for real and made sure he really was dead! ;) =)

I actually laughed when you said the courner eating disturb you more than his comments; it's not uncommon( especially during a busy shift) to see 1s that have been on the job for a while eating while still in the morgue, when your job is 10-12 hrs a day of nothing but handling dead bodies you eventually start to grow a tad desensitized to it
