Luke, everyone gets negative comments. Cooking channels, woodworking youtubers, garden channels. I have never seen any channels not get negative comments. There is just a wide range of stupidity, insecurity, or lonliness in these people that makes their world just a s**t hole that they love to drag others down there.
@lukkassuhn67615 жыл бұрын
@Dave White Thing is, you can't create a full home in a minivan if you're building for two adults. You get a mobile bedroom and possibly a kitchen [I'm putting mine in the back hatch for cooking from outdoors.] Many [probably most?] women want a little more home than that.

I was paying 1K rent x 5 years $60,000. I bought a van 2019 converted it, and put the rest of my stuff in storage. $400 payment +100 ins. =500 However, my gas has gone down from commute about 200 + 1000 I save on rent =1200 savings. I’ll have it paid off in 2 years (double payment). No commute, no over bearing landlord, parking over night is a breeze. Best of all I’m saving money. 👍👏😄
@808kicks24 жыл бұрын
Catt's Box sleeping in a van to save 300 doesn’t sound substantial enough for such drastic living change.i mean if you like van life cool but you sound like you’re just after savings.and living in a car saves me 300 over a house hahaha I’d say the extra 300 for not living in a fucking car well worth it but that’s just me
@cattsmahal10054 жыл бұрын
I guess I didn’t add the $1000 a month rent + $200 gas. So $1200 total savings.

I really like it. You did an amazing job! You cannot tell someone is living in there, this is true stealth. Also it is so homey looking inside, sometimes these conversions can seem sad and depressing because it look like you are living out of a vehicle in them, but yours actually looks like a bedroom in a home. If I ever converted a van I think I would use your layout. I really like how it turned out.

Super rad build. Super rad vid. Fortunate that you found a night job. Cuts down the heating bill and increases safety. Now that you have all this good stuff done, gradual saving towards a stretched cargo van would be wise, so that your next vehicle, some years in the future, can provide you with additional comforts. The iterations are never ending as you get used to the ergonomics. I wasn't gonna cook in my MINIvan but now I do. It's a twenty dollar butane Colman sitting on top of a Coleman cooler in the front passenger spot (all my seats are out except drivers). I can take it out and cook outside when the weather is nice. I have a nice hobo coffee making routine. Heat via Mr. Buddy. Want one of those new fangled diesel forced air heater things. Need more DC. #hobomessiah Enjoy.

great build also being in the little box is sort of more stealth because to me if someone was looking in the window they might not think someone was living in there and the box was for storage or something. the box makes it so you are not having all the windows covered with window covers. If you can make a door instead of a curtain for the enclosed space and lock it that also adds security and privacy and stealth. The curtain makes it look more like a living space but a door could make it seems for outside viewers more like storage.

A wonderful perspective and the morning you were above seven thousand feet and next time you might go by Joshua Tree and the other thing was White Rim Road which I saw from the park but did not drive. Looking forward to the same thing you are, your next grand adventure. Have watched all you videos many times. Honda Civic and rocks, what a combo. Having ridden bicycles many miles in the 1970's the best places left to ride are the kinds of locations you travel. You have never mentioned it, the feeling you have descending a 12,000 foot mountain has to be beyond words or the vastness of 100 mile long flat valleys.
