@@szaboviktor2457 that’s literally more than a months worth and it probably shouldn’t even be eating pellets. I personally have my betta in a 10 gallon and he doesn’t get fed pellets like that (if I were to give him pellets I would soak them first). That poor fish I feel so bad for it.

My best friend just spontaneously inherited a 100+ gallon tank with the perfect amount of cichlids for the space. I cannot wait to teach her how to make that thing sparkle and the fish happy :) She has never had fish before and is super excited to be a fish Momma!

When I had a beta, I could not afford beta toys, so I put a bunch of little mini figurines around the tank for him to look at. He got very excited whenever I changed them out.

When Chris says its dish soap... Me. I've seen water that dark in real life. My local fish store showed me. They had tested a lady's water who couldn't work out why her fish were sitting on the bottom not moving. Said the water was fine. The nitrite was darker then dark! I shared my fav LFS horror. I couldn't believe the fish were alive!!

Other thing to note about that turtle tank is that the basking lights are over the water not the basking area...I know there are 200 other things to mention about that one but just thought I’d point that out!

Yesterday I realized it was going to be another FTR Monday! I was going to ask for a 5 gallon tank for my Betta, then I found an amazing 8 gallon at Petsmart! Now he can have a couple of friends and have more space to swim!! We are buying the tank today because it's on sale! Look up Dazzle aquariums by Top Fin on Petsmart's website for 50% discounts! The 8 gallon is $40.00 instead of $80.00 etc... Your Betta will be super happy! Just don't get the 3 gallon!

Good advice on the 3 gallon I had got one for 5 ghost shrimp (was new to the hobby back then and figured it’d be okay for just the shrimp) those 3 gallons don’t work well. Btw that particular fish tank (dazzle) doesn’t need heaters or at least my 5 gallon doesn’t the filters are built in and actually heat up the tank I’ve never had problems with the 5 gallon dazzle aquarium. I don’t really like the tall tanks vs wide makes me feel like the fish doesn’t have enough room to swim back and forth though that’s just my opinion on my tanks. Others manage to make theirs look so nice

I have a Chinese golden Gobi (Algae Eater) in my 20 gallon for about 3 years and he is probably the chillest fish in the tank. The most aggressive thing in the tank is my Bamboo shrimp. whenever a fish swims by him he ATTACKS! I also have 1 male and two females in that tank, and they don't fight.

My first tank was a gold fish bowl with cotton candy colored gravel and a sponge bob house. It died in two weeks so sad. This year I got my second tank with a beta and two mystery snails it is a 2.5 gallon filled with live plants and has black gravel I’m upgrading 5 gallon soon though. Don’t worry it has a filter and heater and good water parameters

An idea for an aquascape for the series you have going with the prompts: a small scape in an only like 10 liter tank. It would be nice to see a small scape done by you. Or maybe like something with Red pagoda stones? Haven’t seen a lot of scapes done with those :)

I know cris won’t see this but I started with pink gravel and pineapple houses and my this year and my grandmother doing the same and I switched to live plants and fertilized substrate and I convinced her to do the same and now I concider my self good at Aqua scaper

Some people don't want natural looking, and we should allow that, as long as fish are not being harmed. Different tastes, for everyone. What if you had an aquarium with those plastic tunnels they make for hamsters? Might look futuristic, etc.

I had a fish pond that had guppys and minnows in it and they bred together and the species I created were 3 times bigger than the guppies and the new species got darker colors most of them being purple blue and orange

I would have used ada grade stuff, but was wayyy to expensive. Stuck to the cheaper stuff and it works just fine!

What are some good fish to put in a 2 gallon? Not gonna put in a betta like the employee suggests (too small for that) and would it be possible to have a couple clean up fish or snails in there too? The aquarium is a hexagonal 2 gallon.

Unfortunately I had 2 Chinese algae eaters and they were sold to me as "sucker fish" I thought they were Siamese algae eaters so I had good intentions but... yea... they grew 20+cm and buried under my driftwood I had and uprooted my grass carpeting plants.

aquarium hobby in 3rd world country is great since plants and fishes are almost free, but u can't get good aquarium products like "Fluval" or "ADA"

My betta just died 😭😭 He is the one who made me start this hobby, learn more about fish, do a lot of research about betta, force my parent to buy a 7.5 gallon tank and so on. R.I.P my little friend 😭😭😭
