A fun day at Aberdeen, north east of Scotland. We grilled some fish and also made some extra spicy Kottayam style Ayala/Mackerel curry. The North Sea is a part of the Atlantic Ocean and is where the River Dee and don flow into.
Ingredients:

Mackerel - 3 nos
Bird’s eye chilli - 5 crushed
Ginger - 1 small pice
Garlic - Whole garlic
Curry leaves - Few leaves
Salt - for taste
Pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Few drops of oil
Once it’s cooked sprinkle salt/pepper

Mackerel - 5 nos
Oil - 3 tablespoons
Mustard - 1 teaspoon
Asafoetida powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Fenugreek - 1/4 teaspoon
Ginger crushed - 50 grams
Garlic crushed - 50 grams
Green chilli crushed - 2
Shallots crushed - 2
Curry leaves - 4springs
Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Kashmiri chilli powder - 4 tablespoons
Salt - to taste
Water - 200 ml
Cocum - 5 pieces socked in water
