Couldn't agree more! Each record you can always pull a favorite, as in who contributed most heavily from the three songwriters. Tusk was Lindsey's album, but the best songs were Stevie's imo. He was better on Mirage and Tango in the Night if it's any consolation to him. Anyway, I was hoping this new configuration would tap into her Tusk work. Angel, might be fun too.

Becca Bridges I have always said the same thing about Tusk. I totally agree with you! I think 5 of Stevie's best ever songs are from Tusk. I'm so happy 'Storms' is back in the set. I was lucky enough to hear it live in 2009. Also got to hear 'Beautiful Child' in 2004 ♥

Tuscon Guy -- Well, she always said that her goal was to sing live on top of a mountain at age 70. Also, she has, since her early 20s, a voice that has deep lows and gorgeous highs...this is the best her voice has sounded since she did her Soundstage Sessions concert in late 2008. It would be nice if these concerts were recorded for posterity, cause she (and the rest of the band, new and old) really does have an almost vintage SN sound to it (very close to The Dance era). Honestly, they need to get her in to the studio to record her new/unreleased stuff w/ them, since she's vocally firing on all cylinders as a new septuagenarian.

What's great is, she revisits this mental/poetic state again, 6 years later, in 1985's "The Nightmare". Her performance on that single is very much "stormy", where as this (first) one is a very "quite storm". The poetry of this song is a great example of what makes Stevie Nicks special...We have Mick Fleetwood, dumping Stevie for one of her best friends (the now-famous, "Sara"), to thank for this late '70s classic.

@@darkness_of_the_night - He stabbed her in the back years ago when he sang out of key on stage and made fun of her. You think that one man is the entire band that no other members matter but this one man. Believe me, he is not that great and he needs to taper down his huge ego. He needs to learn to be part of a band and not always the boss.
@darkness_of_the_night
@darkness_of_the_night 5 жыл бұрын
@@patriciapauline2172 Whatever happened 40 years ago, it has no relevans today and - more importantly - it's long forgiven and forgotten by the persons involved. In recent years Stevie has repeatedly said that Lindsey is a much softer and kinder man than he was back in the old days when everyone of them were on drugs. And Christine says exactly the same thing about Lindsey. It has never been my view that the other four members of the Rumours 5 don't matter or that Lindsey is the entire band. So I don't know why you're saying that? Lindsey has always been more of a team player than any of the other members. He has always put his own interests, among others his solo albums, aside, when the band wanted to make an album. You say that Lindsey should learn to not always be the boss. That makes no sense. As Christine said in an interview, being the boss is Lindsey's job. At the end of each show Mick Fleetwood called Lindsey "our musical mentor".

Brians Makeup Bag Fuck off, go watch the iHeart Radio 2018 show, the whole thing is on KZfaq. He was at the top of his game. The whole band was. This tour Christine sounds like total shit, Stevie’s new facelift makes her look like ET, Finn has about as much charisma as a wet blanket and Campbell oddly doesn’t get the same amount of balls or power from a Les Paul than LB did from a semi acoustic. Only positive was the rare tunes they were doing but they’ve seemingly now dropped Hypnotised, Storms and All Over Again from the setlist. Or they did at the last show anyway.

Good they're doing some rare songs at least, even if it is a ca$$$h grab tour.

every tour is a "cash grab" tour. How the hell do you think these folks earn a living?? Jesus Christ...................

All tours are how musicians make money dummy. Streaming a song at one cents a play will not pay for a can of cat food.

stevedrums - what’s wrong with a cash grab tour. Seems like 20,000 people in some shows have no problem with it. Jealous much.

Someday, someone with a gun is gonna get so fed up with talkers during a show he/she shoots everyone around her. Just wait. And if I were a judge, and it was folks talking during Stevie nicks performing, i would absolutely let them off without so much as a warning. I'd totally get it.

msarzo - as predicted his absence doesn’t decrease ticket sales. Maybe average price per seat may be lower. But yield management is always part of the concert game.
