The best of the best from our past 5 years fossil hunting in Florida. Many of these finds are housed in the fossil collections of multiple museums or used in our own educational outreach. Walk through time with us as we find megalodon teeth and discover Ice Age giants as big as the dinosaurs.
00:09 Part 1: Megalodon
07:17 Part 2: The Mammoth
19:43 Part 3: Mastodons
46:09 Part 4: Megafauna
1:00:35 Part 5: Carnivores
1:04:33 Part 6: The Ocean
Through exploring, shark tooth hunting, and artifact hunting, we can make a physical connection to the history around us. We are passionate about that connection and want to share it with others. If you value this content, consider supporting us on Patreon so we can help others “dig science.”
https:/patreon.com/diggingscience
We plan on hunting for a diversity of fossils all throughout the US this year with other fossil hunters such as Paleocris, Wildkyle, Everdayimshoveling, Ancient Artworks, Shark Teeth and Fossils and Bone Valley Collections. We hope to find beautiful Megalodon teeth, gems and minerals, great white shark teeth, artifacts, arrowheads, and megafauna creatures like mammoths and mastodons. We will also include videos on how to fossil hunt in Florida and explore discussions on some of our favorite topics in paleontology, archeology, and geology!

Dad hiding the tooth is classic That’s exactly what my dad did to me and my brother. When I was 5 he bought shark jaws from the gift shop in Maui and hid them in a tide pool and I didn’t figure it out until I was doing the same thing with my son 22 years later!! What about that alligator you ran into underwater ??!! He was just posted up lookin right at you guys !!

Alligator: what the hell are they doing? They are steeling the bones of my ancestors! I lived in florida and there are so many water ways for the alligators to travel back and forth. This one thought she had one of the best hiding spots ever!!! The alligators deserve space and respect! Thank you for giving it to them! I would love to see you do a collaboration with Mamlambo for sure!!!!! He needs to come and visit florida! I wish you guys could meat him. He is amazing and you would make a great friend from Australia! Mamlambo would love a meg tooth, he is also a fossil hunter to, but he has to dig them out of the rocks! Thanks for sharing your fossils with us!!! P.s I hope you put the baby cat fish's house back! Still gots to take care of the animals!👍🤗❤just messing with you guys! Your pretty awesome. I wish I knew how to find fossils like that!

Some of my best finds have come in the rain. That blue juvenile megalodon tooth he found @ 5:12 was awesome! Sometimes it's a hindrance, depending on what you're looking for, or looking through. But, in my observations, about 90% of the time, it helps more than it hinders. I remember a lot of these videos.

Apart from my huge anxiety of you in the water with live alligators, the content is stunning. Seriously, man, u have huge cahonies. But that said, imagine the changes the world has seen since the mammoth walked the land and megalodon swam the oceans. Do you sell any of these finds. At uni we studied mammoth teeth. But to own something so amazingly old would be something else.

Your channel is great cuz I knew what I was looking for such as mamooth molars but I haven't got to go to Florida yet but I found a small 3 inch meg tooth missing part of the root but it had the best colors iv ever seen and I found it on the beach couple people came over cuz I was freaking out cuz how rare they r on beaches at Oregon and if it didn't be missing part of the root it would be a perfect tooth the shape and color was amazing

@@DiggingScience They're shitty geodes :c lets be real. under developed in this southern tip. The quarts filled Brachiopods are always a blast to find! I do have an amazing Trilobite fossil though ;) but other than that.. there isn't too much variety here in the basin/mud plains/ ohio river tribs.. Jeffersonville, Indiana Interpretive center. Check it out sometime; I know you all would love it.. and they'd love a video being made there
