Born in Albany, GA, and lived in the area for 49 years before moving to Florida in 2020. My God, it is a horrible place. Lee County was not so bad but the dead weight of Albany will eventually bring it down.

I've lived in the next town (Sylvester) all my life and lived in east Albany as a child. Iv been in Tons of black owned local businesses/restaurants and have gotten nothing but respect and treated like family. We're all in this together no matter the skin color.

I wasn't impressed with Albany but I didn't get a chance to visit the NW side of town.

Regarding the customers walking out of the restaurant, I remember stopping at a McDonald's in Birmingham with my dad in 2013. I want to say Northwest Birmingham before getting on I-22. We were the only white people there and the only people in line and we were ignored till we left. I wondered why and then I remembered it was the day after the George Zimmerman verdict.
