Thank you Vicki, I love hearing stories of other people who also have family connections to their machines. I really do love mine - the finish on the White Model 764 is very auto-paint-esque and if I was in the market to have my car painted I would probably ask for that two tone combo.

Leger ... word to the wise, the top and bottom border look like a repeating pattern, but it is irregular, so I really had to pay attention to the count alllll the way across. Hello from Costa Rica. Congrats on your first video, you did great. I am so glad for all new flosstubers (included myself, I just started 3 months ago). And same as you I love the stitching community. Yeah you have a pattern from Costa Rica....I am so glad. And I have to say to you (you are the first one to know) I am working hard because for end of the year with God's help I plan to start my Designer part...with motives from Costa Rica.

@@trixietricycle Although I've cross stitched forever, I have just started using linen which is still not in my comfort zone. I decided to revert back to aida and found some hand-dyed 16 ct. at Vintage NeedleArts at Etsy in the color Sherwood Forest - a mottled greenish, salty sea looking fabric. I swear I can smell the ocean - hehehehe! Thought I might use it for both Yellow Sub and Octopus' Garden..... but who knows. Short story, I'm using a 2011 Canon Vixia HFG10 (can find on eBay for under $200). I do have two light boxes that cost less than $50 total. I am using Premier Pro to edit (so much to learn there) and I have spent a lot of time watching (wait for it) YT videos about lighting and camera settings. I didn't use any color correction filters, the key setting to pay attention to for avoiding blowing out colors of fabric is white balance. My go to for all things setup related are Becki and Chris on YT kzfaq.info/love/I2O-t0a6qd0GvZEHGojKBw

@trixietricycle 2 жыл бұрын
Hi there and welcome! Apologies for the delayed response, I usually answer comments and questions in a block when I have time at my desk to look things up and reply. I do use a floor stand and it is very basic. It works for me, but doesn't have much variety in terms of fully adjustable height or the like. If I had it to do over I would likely order something with more variety in terms of height and what type of frame could be accommodated. The one I have has two arms that extend and my scroll frame just sits on top of them - which makes it easier to flip over your work when it's time to end a strand, but it also makes for a wobble if the piece is a larger one. I would check 123stitch if you are in the US and just look at the variety that they have to get you started down the path of what features appeal to you and go from there. Hope that helps!

I saw Pulp Fiction at a movie theatre with my Dad - and the scene where John and Samuel are in the car and they go over a bump and accidently shoot the kid in the back seat - my Dad and I were so shocked that we started laughing - and then got embarrassed and got a little hysterical and then were asked to leave. When I saw Napoleon Dynamite in the theater, I was laughing so hard within the first five minutes and the rest of the (fairly full) theater was silent. Funny what hits and what doesn't. I found those tabs on Amazon, if you search for self adhesive hang tags for retail with round openings they should come up. Lots of them have square ends, the ones I have are round (which I find easier to use). I think the brand was MiDube (?)

Where it’s from etc. also could you do a short discussion about it on your FlossTube?? Maybe you have and I have not dug in far enough IDK…….I normally stitch in hand however, I have started to feel some pain in my hand!!! 😩😩Anyway, aside from this…. My husband and I are huge Pulp Fiction fans!! 😊😊😂 and yes…. I made those gum wrapper chains as a kid!! Also, Yamir is amazing…. I have even ordered and used her hand dyed floss which is fabulous!!! Hope to hear back…

I just responded to your other comment about floor stands, but yes I actually do go into depth about my scroll frames in a few subsequent videos (probably somewhere in the last three or four episodes). Yamir is amazing! Her December advent box was GORGEOUS!
