THANK YOU SUBSCRIBERS for our 50,000 milestone! And Happy 5th Birthday to PACII!
As many IG followers have requested, here is Kim's review of the Flove Cup from Norway. The cup come in two sizes, "Light" or "Heavy" and while it's an overall average cup in length and shape it does have the notable feature of a double rim and large suction holes. The branding is fun and their website is fantastic. The Flove Cup isn't yet on our website's chart but hopefully the comparison image in the video gives you an idea of how it stands in comparison to other average cups like the Lena Cup and Saalt Cup. Flove Cup lands at a high "4" on firmness, making it a "firm average."

I have no intentions to buy another cup, but I still watch every PACII video, because you do such good work and I want to support that. Thanks to PACII, I came back to cups after over a decade without using a cup (I had a diva cup, which was meh for me, and didn't ever get around to replacing it when it was destroyed). After taking the quiz about 18 months ago, I now have and love the Saalt Soft and the Lena Sensitive (both in the larger size), and I'm a cup evangelist! Thanks for working so hard, and congratulations on your achievements.

So I bought my first cup 10 years ago when I was around 17 and I just went in to Boots (uk high street pharmacy) and bought a mooncup, which was the only brand I could find in any store at the time. That’s the only brand I’ve ever used and it’s been my primary period protection all that time. I didn’t know there were so many available now. I also wish I could have watched/read all the useful information on this channel, back then all I found were gory, bloody stories of how it all went wrong. Thanks for making this channel! 😊

I'm so glad your channel exists. PACII is my go-to guide. Your website and channel is like an encyclopedia for menstrual cups! You've helped me on my cup journey, starting with finding the perfect cup with your quiz over to tips for being free of leaking. (You've also awakened my curiosity for cups. I'm happy with my Lunette, but I want to try out some other cups, as well.) I highly appreciate your work. Thank you!!

I absolutely loooove your reviews! They are always so informative and you know so so much about the cup you review! I want to buy a cup sooooo bad because I hate that I use so many hygiene products when I am on my period - it's crazy and I hate using so many of them each time. And I've watched so many reviews that I cannot decide on which cup I'm going to use😬😂 I just love you two and the content you upload☺☺ Thank you so so so much for working so hard and congratulations on 50k🍀🎉🎉🤗

I would love for someone with a very heavy flow to review the Merula XL there isn’t many on it in English

Merula XL is my goldilocks cup. I have tried the Flex cup, Tieut cup, Voxapod, and Venus cup (both sizes). I leaked with all of them until I tried Merula. The Venus was my second favorite, but i found i would leak when I would sleep because I'm thinking my vaginal walls were causing the cup to collapse when I laid on my side, idk. I think the shape of the Merula XL helps keep it open for me and no leaks. I do have to empty about every 6 hours because my cervix sits in it and takes up space. I don't mind though because it's much better than having to empty every 1 hour-1 1/2 hours with a super plus tampon. It is quite large, but i am 5'9" and can't feel it at all. I can poop and pee with it in just fine. I love the smooth silicone, and the ladder stem doesn't bother me at all. The only thing I would add to the cup would be measurement lines inside. I have the orange cup which comes with a cute fox pouch. Of course, what works for me may not work for you. I always wear period panties just in case I'm not able to empty at the 6hr mark and overflow. I do love it and always happy to be able to skip the menstrual aisle at the store.

Where were these videos when I tried cups over 15 years ago? 😂 I had a horrible experience with diva and flex (named some other name before) when they first came out on the market so I gave up! Thanks to your videos I'm trying Kind and Lumma to give it another whirl before I hit menopause will see what happens next month. 😊

Hi, great review! I had a question about my cup if you don't mind. I accidentally stored my cup in a drawer with incense sticks in it and now it strongly smells of it. It didn't come into contact with the incense and I have boiled it but the smell is still there. Is it still fine to use?

Kim! I have the similar issue of urine stream slowing down (and a little bladder pressure) with the lunette but its my first one and I love it SO much! What other brands are comparable but don't slow your urine flow? It isn't the worst but as for a nurse who works all day and never gets a chance to pee, it definitely can be noticeable some days and takes forever to pee. Help! I am size 1 if thats important to know
@willemijneijsink5169

Hey - I’m not sure whether this cup is ‘comparable’ but the Lunette is considered an ‘average’ (3) cup for firmness on the PACII firmness chart. ‘Soft-average’ (2) firmness cups on their chart may help solve the problem. I personally love the Saalt Soft - I had the same problem as you with other cups but I loved this one.

Hi ok so I’ve been using the lunette mentrual cup for about 6 months. I leak like crazy the first 3 days which are my heaviest. I have a very high cervix and a tipped uterus. I’m at the point of throwing in the towel, sadly. I feel like I’m bypassing my cervix but when it falls down a bit, it really doesn’t work. Any tips? I redid the test and the lunette is still the suggested one and I don’t see that the other ones recommended are too much different. I really want this to work. I’m 49 btw and have 3 kids, first vaginally then twins by csection.

Hi guys! I’m 14 and recently brought the organicup in mini. My periods are very irregular in flow as I’ve only just started getting them. I used the cup perfectly fine it in my previous period and it worked a dream as I was super light. However I got my period again on Saturday and I’m extremely heavy. I was having to change my cup every couple of hours whilst still leaking. I have a high cervix also. Is there a cup out that has a high capacity but is also good for teens? I’m really struggling!❤️

It can also take a couple of cycles to get the hang of it too. I'm not a teenager but when I tried it the first cycle was perfect then the next one leaked the whole time. I watched a tone of videos and reviews, figured out my cup wasn't fully opening and how to sort it. It's been fine since and I changed my cup to a slightly firmer one. They also have a video on leaks. You can find it here and on the website. Don't give in keep trying you may just need a different cup for heavier flow or it may not be positioned correctly. X

Hello, I used to love tampons I mean be obsessed with them, until one day I woke up during this covid lockdown and realised nope. I’ve got to change all that and switched to the cup, well now the cup is my new best friend. Could you give some tips on how to sterilise properly and stain free, when you live in a situation where you can’t boil it in open (shared kitchen with Male flatmates).
@corawhite4876
@corawhite4876 4 жыл бұрын
You should really try and boil it when you have finished your cycle. But if you aren’t able to do that in an open space then pour some boiling water (from the kettle) into a container and leave it there. Do that until the water has gone cold and then repeat. It’s not as effective as properly boiling it but I hope that helped

cora White it helped tons thank you ❤️ although I will try to sneak down at 2am at the end of my period to boil it, bit awkward when you live with all males. They ask too many questions, what you making? My menstrual cup! Lol.

I'm not sure if that's a good place to ask about it, but I'm gonna give it a try: Do you guys maybe know about any good reusable pantyliners, those intended for everyday wear? I'm someone who is in the need of wearing them every single day. I'm currently using the disposable ones, but considering how often I use them, I'm concerned about how much waste I'm creating with them. I tried using some of the biodegradable brands, but damn, they are expensive! And in addition to that, they often don't come in sizes big enough to last me entire day, so I need to change them more often - which ups their price per use even further. I tried to search for some reusable ones I could invest in, but for now I only managed to find period pads, which are usually too big for purpose I need them for. Does any of you guys have any recommendations? I would appreciate it a lot!

I've used a few different brands of cloth pads, and I prefer the ones by EcoFemme. I always use pantyliners as a back up for my menstrual cup, and I found these to be the most comfortable and durable.

@@alanikuulei9473 in India you can buy high quality Rebelle pantyliners and xl heavy duty pads as well I would suggest SOCH has great pantyliners as well but their heavy duty pads leak at wings so i would only suggest their pantyliners.

I was recently reading a study about menstrual cups and uterine prolapse. Basically saying that the suction and not using them properly can lead to uterine prolapse. I use a Diva cup and now I'm terrified.. Is there a cup that doesn't have as much "suction"? Here is the link to the BBC article www.bbc.com/news/health-51805689 Thank you for all your work!
