Don't forget to subscribe for more menstrual cup content and reviews! Kim tests out the brand new Kind Cup, which for now only comes in the size shown (regular) but should have a small soon. It's an ergonomic shape and has a nice long flexible stem. It's designed to be removed easier with one hand. Firmness score is a 4 on the PACII scale and as soon as we can get it added to our comparison charts we will. The Kind Cup is made in California.

I use the fun cups which are a similar shape and one of the things I love is that you can fold them up very thin because of the angled rim, and how they just sort of slide into place. This looks like a pretty good option for people who would rather have a stem, as the fun cups are totally stemless (but suprisingly easy to remove)

@@christinebrown8723 Thank you for replying. I read through the comment threads and I saw that the Max capacity is 35ml total and 25 to the holes. I am a heavy flow girl (like their friend Jen +250ml per period) and have an average cervix I think. I need to empty out a full to the brim 30ml capacity cup(diva 2) every 3 hours like clockwork. And extra 5ml will get me an extra half hour at most and I'm on the hunt for a cup that will allow for a little more sleep time.

I love this cup but I'm new so I'm still learning how to use a cup for the first time. I think I have a high cervix because I haven't been able to feel it and I have to reach high just to feel the back of my pubic bone so I appreciate the shape and long stem to help pull it down. My flow is very heavy and so far I fill it half way every 3 hours then I start leaking through the sides so I have to empty and reposition. I have had leakage but I think its me not knowing how to create a seal because right now its light spotting when I wipe. I won't do a longer cup because that hurts! I really hope I can get the seal to stop leaking because the size, shape, stem and feel is perfect for me. It's like a tampon but reusable, non drying and overall better for my body! I'm also using the Lumma Unique disc Large and both have the same learning curve. Hope this helps others! 🤗

I've been doing hours of research on cups and I think this is the one I am going to try. I have a pretty high cervix at the beginning of my cycle, so I'm hoping this is a good starter for me. I am sensitive so hoping that I don't experience the uncomfortable rubbing like you described later in my cycle if my cervix becomes lower!
@simplyvince1744
@simplyvince1744 4 жыл бұрын
I like the concept. I've had issues with cups in the past because I have a mid to low cervix which is a bit to the side rather than in the middle. And fairly heavy periods. So finding a cup that's small enough to fit and big enough to hold things without it bumping my awkwardly placed cervix (because I've learned that that makes it feel like I have worse cramps for whatever reason) is difficult. I actually decided to just go with cloth pads for that reason. But, this almost looks like something that might work if I turned it a bit to the side (although it might also be too tall, it's questionable), so I might look into it at some point.

How do you know if your cervix is to the side?
@simplyvince1744
@simplyvince1744 4 жыл бұрын
@@valeribryan4346 Well... Most of the time it's recommended to locate your cervix with a finger prior to trying a cup so that you know roughly how high it is (for cup size and stem). Usually the cervix is sort of on the front (belly button side) at the top and mostly in the center (not too far left or right). In my case, it isn't in the center, it's most of the way onto the left wall.

The shape of this cup is interesting. I’m new to menstrual cups and I haven’t bought my first yet and still looking l. However, I have a low cervix and tilted uterus. I feel like my cervix is tilted and isn’t upright so to prevent leaks and be more comfortable I would have to tilt it. Which I heard can be uncomfortable for some especially if the tip is pointy. But since this is a flexible tip and a curvature I think this should be good. But if anyone have any recommendations please let me know. I’m also looking for a cup hat has grip aids at the bottom to avoid spilling when taking the cup out.

Hi! Thanks for your comment about loving our design! We love that the PACII team was able to help bring more awareness about our newly launched cup! I'm the Kind Cup designer (see detailed comment below). At full capacity, our Size Regular is 35ml to the brim (25ml below the holes suggested). So it offers pretty good capacity while not feeling overly big, due to our form-fitting, ergonomic shape, if that makes sense :)

Karishma Changlani thanks much! Yes I’ve been looking at that and the FemmyCycle. I’m on the fence about both because of the shapes. If memory serves, FC doesn’t sell the HC separately, they only bundle it with a regular. I’m not sure I wanna spend $ I don’t have on designs that are very bulbous at the bottom as high cervix works well with more “V” type shape. Anyway, I’m blabbering. Thank you for your comment!!

Hey! I live in Canada and the only cups that are widely available are Diva Cups and Tampax Cups. I bought a tampax cup a couple of days ago and had been wearing it until a few minutes ago- I felt incredibly nauseous and faint the entire time and thought that I must have been getting sick. My partner noted that I'd had my cup in while I felt awful and so I took it out and felt immediately better. I looked it up and it doesn't look like it's a terribly uncommon side effect of using a cup. Would you be willing and able to address this in a future video, and possibly make recommendations of cups which may alleviate this? Thank you!

I have a question: I have a cervix/vagina that always angles bullet shaped cups off to the right, so stems have to go. Can I wear an ergonomic cup? Is it possible to angle them to compensate for your tilt? In my case I would put the curve on the right so the cup points left. Or must they fit curving from the back to front?

I think cervix height would factor in here, but checking with you doctor for more insight could help. That said, we've had quite a few users with a tilted cervix use Kind Cup with great success. We always encourage folks to try cup placement first as suggested (above pubic bone and below cervix; follow natural curvature...), but of course adjust as-needed to what feels and works best for your own body :)

@@PutACupInIt I currently have the Saalt Soft Cup in the regular size (which is their bigger size) and find that it is way better than the previous cup I used -which was the Diva Cup, but the Saalt Cup still adds quite a bit of pressure on my bladder. It sucks feeling like you have to pee all the time when you have your cup in! I am quite prone to UTI's and am just wondering what to do. I know I am inserting it correctly since I've been using My Saalt Cup for a year and a half now. I was wondering if it could be the protruding thick rim that is pressing on my bladder, or if I might need a softer cup, or maybe one that is not the traditional bullet-shaped, but instead shaped like the Fun Cup, that is supposed to be designed to shape the natural curves of the vagina, etc. I do like cups with a stem, as it helps me locate the cup better, and has never pinched or bothered me. I have an average lengthed cervix. I also know that some cups may be softer near the base and firmer at the top, and I was wondering if where the cup is the most firm can contribute to pressure on the bladder. I was wondering if you could help recommend any softer cups that you believe would be a good fit for me and all the circumstances that I've mentioned above! Thank you!

Have you tried squatting to put it in? You can do that, and then stand up. Squat a couple of times after it's in and see if that moves it up a bit. It might also help to bear down while inserting. Relaxing the muscles after it is in can draw it up. I had that problem when I first started using it and have some how been able to work that problem out for the most part l. Now if I could just get it to stop leaking.

It sounds like there is no suction. Without suction, the pressure of the vaginal wall could push the cup down & of course blood and vaginal fluid are very slimy/slippery. You have to make sure it forms a tight seal & suctions itself to the vaginal walls.

Hi! Short answer is no. Lena Cup has a thicker wall and especially thick upper ring. Our ergonomic shape allows the cup body to hold the shape well without feeling stiff, and without being super thick, so Kind Cup ends up being easy to use and comfortable. (In fact, our upper ring is a bit softer than the body, which is by design so that it doesn't put any additional pressure on your other bodily functions.) Hope that helps!
