I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to give me and many others a step by step instruction to get through this nightmare. You never get frustrated and you just keep going till the job is done. Was able to order and install this part and couldn’t have done it without you man. Really great work, you saved me a lot of money. It was frustrating as hell but it got in there just like you have shown. God bless!

For anyone doing this. It is easier to get the part on the heater core and thermostat by removing the fan and shroud or unbolt it and move it out of the way easier to get out from the bottom, only two bolts and electrical cable. Remove battery, air box and upper radiator hose, and just like the video you may need to remove the transmission bolt, only the upper one to get a little bit of wiggle room. Then proceed to remove the PCM wire connectors. Hope this helps someone. Also, thank you for the video helped me out.

Hi thatonediyguy thanks for your comment. I’m sure it’ll help some people and there’s a few ways to do a job. I’ve had people comment that it’s easier to go through the bottom so that’s another way. Thanks for watching. I really appreciate you brother.

Hi there, I used your video to repair my 2008 Ford Focus. I had to replace the thermostat. I broke the plastic heater hose. I needed to by the metal hose. I had to take everything out and the transmission stick as you did. It was a good amount to things to take out. It took me about three weeks to do this job as I work a lot. I finally fixed everything. I put everything back together. I now see that I have a leek at the engine block just above the upper right radiator hose. Thank you so much!

All those rubber tubes in general are quite dilated. Eventually you're going to have problems with almost everyone that requires some pression. Rigid plastic tubes directly crystallize and break without warning, as has happened to you. The good thing is that by looking at the reference you can find high temperature resistant rubber fuel hoses that can be a good replacement for those tubes.

Hi FSHerrante yes sir eventually you’ll have issues with it so just replace them. Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching. I appreciate you.

Probably easier to insert the aluminum hose from the bottom... I'm in the process of doing this repair after it cracked when I was changing the thermostat. Already removed a bunch of parts near the to run it through will pick up the aluminum hose tomorrow.

I found removing the lower radiator hose from the Radiator and removing the fan was much easier than disconnecting most of the cables and parts done in this video. Once the fan is removed, there was much more room to maneuver the new rigid aluminum hose. If proper tools are used, the lower radiator hose may not need to be loosened or removed as long as the screw holding the fan can be removed.
@jamesmahle125910 ай бұрын
6 of one and half a dozen of the other in my opinion; even so, the new aluminum unit was not foreseeable by the technician.
@aedmonsii274310 ай бұрын
@@jamesmahle1259 I am not a mechanic and after watching this video, it was too complicated for the limited tools I had on hand. I considered this problem as a Mechanical Engineer and decided it was to my advantage to tackle it differently. In my experience of taking apart Printers to repair them, especially the internal parts, we learn short cuts which allows us to save time when possible.
