Hi! I'm trying to figure out my 2012 Ford focus. The radiator fluid keeps boiling over. No coolant in the oil. Spark plugs are clean as well, I'm thinking of replacing the thermostat just to ensure that's not an issue. Doesn't overheat at all. Replaced the coolant temperature sensor as well. This is a great video to help me get that hose replacement done 💪 just subscribed to your channel

Thank you for this video. My ford focus 2012 had a hose bust under the break , clutch and accelerator paddle couple of months ago, i took it to a mechanic, he fix the hose, but since then if i drive the car in a bit harsh way or go for a bit long journey , the coolant stats boiling, and disappears while im driving or when i stop, and the fan starts at a very high speed and j can see that coolant is going down However there is no leak and head gasket is also fine. And if i make small trips then there is no problem at all. What would you recommend for me to do ? Thanks a lot

I am having trouble getting the elbow connection to seal up and not leak. OEM hose was leaking, replaced with a Gates (only option that day) Gates connection also leaks. I inspected the tube on the radiator and don't see any cracks, I ordered a Motorcraft hose and am going to try that next. Any advice or things to look at is greatly appreciated.

It that hose was leaking my guess is something is wrong with that hose. If it’s going to leak at all it would be at the end of the hose if the clamps aren’t tight enough. It’s hard to say without actually seeing it. Sorry hope that helps some. Appreciate you watching

I heard a slight hissing noise after pulling in my driveway today and poped the hood. There was a leaky hissing kind of sound coming from in-between the motor and the battery where all those hoses are, along with a little steam. It stopped about a minute or so after turning off the engine. Turned it back on to see if the gage was leaning hot and it was about 3/4 the way to the right, not in the red though. Turned it off immediately. Also a bit of what I believe to be coolant leaked into the driveway. 2010 focus otherwise in great running shape. Any thoughts?

i have an 08 focus and have noticed a leak but couldn’t find from where , dad was helping me yesterday using your video we were able to replace the hose! honestly not sure if it was the culprit. no visual signs of anything on the hose to indicate a leak , anyway you could tell?
@SouthernBlessedHomestead
@SouthernBlessedHomestead 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. After you replaced the hose did you notice anymore leaking? Could be several things causing the leak. As you ae standing in front of the car looking at the engine, if the leak is coming from the right side it could be the thermostat housing, engine coolant water outlet housing or heater hoses. If the leak is coming from the left side it could be the water pump or left radiator hose. Should be easy to visually check with a bright flashlight. You can google these items and see the engine location so you will know exactly where to look and what the part looks like. I hope this helps, let me know what you find out.
