Before doing any of this check the coolant level, I was did all of it, even put a piece of 1/2 inch pcvc to cancel the valve, checked the valve with it off the vehicle, it opens and closes fine, when I was puting the coolant back that's when I noticed I was missing 1 gallon, I just got this vehicle a month ago.

At 5:38 you disconnected the vacuum line, where does the other end of that route to? I can’t find it since it was cut
@aaronsrose2 жыл бұрын
Ugh. That line is miserable. It goes through a grommet on the firewall and disappears under the dash above the heater/AC unit. I followed it as best I could while only taking some of the dash apart and it is a glued fitting in there that goes over to the big vacuum tree that is connected to the HVAC controls. If I needed to replace that line I think it would require removing the whole dash and possibly pulling the HVAC box to get at it. Thanks!

Howdy! On mine there is a little actuated valve on the heater hose near the passenger side firewall. That seems to get restricted. Usually if it move it manually a few times the best comes back. Thanks!

Hey mine is doing the same thing. What was the problem on your model?
@aaronsrose2 жыл бұрын
On mine there's a vacuum operated shut off valve in the hose running to the heater core that helps increase air conditioner efficiency by blocking the hot water from reaching the heater core. That thing occasionally barfs and seems to either plug up or get stuck. If I manually cycle it a few times, it will start working again. I haven't taken it apart yet but that's probably going to happen at some point in the future. Thanks!

Sound issues Aaron? Or am I losing my hearing? Fading in and out?
@aaronsrose3 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I think that camera is starting to wig out. It didn't like the engine running noise. I'm going to start using my backup unit. Hopefully that works more consistently. Thanks!

Whats the part number
@KingRatt2 жыл бұрын
So the valve is normally closed?
@aaronsrose2 жыл бұрын
I'm honestly not sure. Though it's acting up again so I'll need to dig a bit deeper to figure it out. Thanks!

@@aaronsrose do you have a temperature gun? I am curious what the hose temp is at the valve. Mine feels warm but not hot I will get a temp reading. I am going to try a thermostat.
@aaronsrose2 жыл бұрын
I do. I'll see if I can get some temps around the house and valve this evening.
@aaronsrose2 жыл бұрын
Thermostat wise, if you have an obd scan tool, you can look at the numerical temp the car is running. I think these usually have a 192f stat from the factory though mine rarely runs above 183f. If yours runs much below 180, I'd start with the stat.

@@aaronsrose ya my scan tool shows 190 I just thought I might be getting a false reading. I guess I am back to a flush. Hard to find a place that does it.
