Your videos have made me much less wary of modern diesels. I've had diesels all my life, but had a Citroën Berlingo which had an EGR issue. Got stung for a turbo, EGR and DPF. I don't believe it needed all those but didn't have the diagnostic tools to see for myself. Now I know about you, I'm more inclined to get another diesel car. 👍

Jimmy, you should set up a training school for all things DPF, the main dealers could send their technicians? to you. Your knowledge alone should pay the bills, without getting your hands dirty.

Take the bracket for the exhaust off. 5x10mm bolts bolted onto the block. Makes a world of difference to access.

Can you dip a blocked vaporiser in the Launch DPF fluid and see what happens. It would be interesting to know how the fluid works. It’s a bit of a fail that the complex diagnostic system in the ecu can’t tell the dealer what is wrong.

Why take it to ford for new dpf and pay an arm and a leg when jimmy can clean for a fraction great work

Can the DPF clean be done with a malfunctioning vaporizer glow plug? I need to wait 3 months to get it serviced, so just trying to keep my DPF alive until then. The code I get is P26A0, only goes on when the DPF tries to regen. Thanks!

Perhaps Ford mechanics, and all main dealership mechanics, should now watch Jimmy's videos to educate themselves on how to properly diagnose and repair vehicles? Bloody hell, the main dealer can't solve the issue and says contact Jimmy. Un-bloody-believable. Not that I needed any more reasons to stay away from main dealers and do my own maintenance.

Jimmy, is it good when a car is moving without pressing the throttle pedal (the connection of the wheels with the engine remains tight), the pressure in the dpf becomes twice as high as when fuel enters the engine? And sharply. What can be explained?

Nice work. My vaporiser is partially blocked. How did you manage to get to it. Did you remove anything to make some room? How on earth you even get the blow torch up there??? Lol Did you also change the glow plugs or was that not necessary? Thanks

Another top job. Jimmy if i could ask a question? Am i correct in saying there is a heater/glow plug on the vaporiser and if so does it run off the same circuit/relay as the engine glow/heater plugs?

Are you located in the Uk I have a dpf problem I think, engine service now is on dash and also engine management light Regen keeps kicking out but just had glow plugs replaced

Absolutely shocking that a main dealer cannot repair a vehicle that they are allegedly specifically trained to diagnose and repair. Reality is most of the techs in main dealers haven’t a clue what they are doing beyond what the laptop tells them.
