These V6 Turbos actually sound really good! Of course they're no V10, V12 or even a V8, but they sound really good as they fly-by and produce that amazing echo!

Well, the FIA allowed higher rpms than the 2017 v6. That's why the 2018 v6 sounds obviously different than 2017 v6.

Well, it could've maybe stopped the spring a couple of years ago that hit Massa if that spring was at a certain height, but for the rest.... but indeed it still can save someone from flying debris one day, Never Say Never.

Couple of key points. - the top teams are evolutions of last year. The cars sound very similar. McLaren by far looks the most simple in aerodynamic design. Honda look to have made progress and big gains. Alonso and Brendon had a drag race and Honda stayed ahead. Finally point. This guys footage is the best on KZfaq. Quality!

minimovzEt Yes but Lewis is braking late for the corner. While Grosjean is braking late for the gravel traps 😝

Late brakes is Riccardo, the rest just tries to brake as late as possible, plus it was just a lock-up, pretty normal, if u think that the track temp was just 2°C, plus the those were med tires on a glassy, humid, new track surface, nothing major guys for a test

To be honest, same as last year. I just noticed in a few spots the sounds were a bit accentuated due to the wind blowing in the right direction

Exactly like in that video about the wastegates. First time I heard it on a Ferrari PU to be honest. And unfotunately (or luckily, still have to understand if it's good or wrong) Ferrari itself was the only one today featuring that louder sound

Far better footage than TV. Your camera angles and trademark use of pure car sound really make it clear just how ruthlessly efficient these cars are at going fast. Makes me feel like I'm trackside. Keep it up!

ThePolandball About the sound he didn't use the binaural (which is better than mono and stereo) because he fears the weather, so if it's a good day we'll have a better quality sound.

Absolutely loved this. Halo (and rake) aside the cars look amazing - so much cornering grip this year and, dare I say it... louder? When they open the wastegate you can really feel it.

Nothing wrong with the HAAS brakes....they are basically the same as every other F1 team. KMag seems to cope alright....its only that French twat that seems to struggle.

Wow, Bozzy! So glad to see you and your mate made it safely to Spain. I believe the sheer number of views in the first 5 hours alone surpasses the amount you mentioned as being satisfactory for the first 24 hours, so it is quite clear, the people have spoken. We all love F1 and you provide the best videos out there. It's only just begun and let me say, "Outstanding footage, guys!!!" My immediate impression of the new 'Halo' is it looks almost exactly like a 'flip flop'. ;o) If someone hasn't already made some, that would be a great marketing idea to sell F1 footwear to go along with t-shirts and hat sales. haha. Have a great time and keep producing these golden videos, mate! Cheers.

Great footage guys, I would love to see more stationary shots though, with no panning at all. You had several in here and I thought they were fantastic. It'd be great to see the outside of turn nine, and looking towards the middle/exit of turn 3 from nearer turn 2.

Thanks dude! To be honest Mercedes seems again the best one. Ferrari and Red Bull are hiding a bit in my opinion. I saw the Renault in a good pace and Toro Rosso didn't do so badly in my opinion. Next week's test session will certainly be a lot better to evaluate the true potential of the various cars

woo boy! Exciting Cool videography! Great looking cars Great sounding cars It seems like the driver helmet(visual driver ID) is blocked by halo. Maybe the cars gotta put the driver number out bigger or something. Or make the Halo the driver helmet colour

i think Red Bull has the badassest sound , it was also like that last year , their sound is just more aggresive ,and the Halo actually looks good on Ferrari Williams and Force India

Nicely done... I love the look of the 2018s, but the wheelbase seems really long. Those intakes are throwbacks to the 70s and 80s.

I just was comparing these engines with last year ones. I've heard the V10s and V8s sound and it was incredible loud and beautiful compared to these V6s.
