@@jordansingh6658 Yeah; but to be fair; that's like; only the second Boy Meets World reference so far; and also; that was like the first thing he did as soon as Boy Meets World ended; he wanted to branch out into horror movies. Didn't work out well. "Cabin Fever" is quite forgettable; I promise you that...because; it's as one of the best movie reviewers of this or any other time would say: "Dogshit". But Boy Meets World was the best sitcom ever made. It was like Full House; but; actually funny and dramatic when it wanted to be. (Although; Bob Saget was the best part of Full House). But Boy Meets World was the best. And out of all the cast members from that show who actually branched out and became successful; it was Cory's older brother; Eric. No really; he was Terry McGuiness from Batman Beyond; Ron Stoppable from Kim Possible(if anyone else remembers that show; besides me?); he was also a character named Jaster Rogue from an obscure PS2 game called "Rogue Galaxy"; and was also the voice of Seifer(who's the rival from Final Fantasy 8); but was in Kingdom Hearts 2. Sorry for the long essay.

Yo Jeremy, I got to see this at a Regal Mystery Screening back on January 1st. I can confirm that there were multiple scenes where the audio was just obnoxiously loud including the scene with music that was so much louder then the dialogue. I'll still say that Night Swim is worse, but not by much. Love your content bro!
@bionicandrew19573 ай бұрын
No no no no no... You think Night Swim is WORSE than this? I haven't seen it and I've been telling people that FD might be the worst movie this year, is Night Swim THAT terrible?

@bionicandrew1957 At the very least, I can say that I was never bored by Founder's Day though I was very annoyed at many points. Plus it gave me some ironically funny moments. Night Swim both annoyed me and bored me with no ironic laughs.

@@silvercro I wrote this, let's hope it doesn't get removed again: ThanksKilling and Rubber are different, since they're intentionally silly and self-aware. Birdemic was set out to be a serious movie, but ended up being an accidental comedy instead. If you look at Quentin Dupieux's other films you'll notice they share a similar sense of humor to Rubber. He's a very talented French comedy director, more worthy of respect than ridicule. Don't watch ThanksKilling 3 however. It's terrible, and not even in a way that's funny.

I saw this movie at home as a free screener for a review and the sound mix was even worse at home. Dialogue would be quiet enough to where I had to turn it up and immediately turn it down when the music came on. I'm sad to hear that seeing it in a theater didn't not improve the experience nor that the copy I got was going to get additional sound work done. This was always going to be the final mix.

I guffawed at the ending, where they reveal the mastermind behind all the murderous mayhem. SPOILER. It's the teacher everyone loves and respects. He wants to be mayor and decides the best way to do this is to kill the current mayor and her primary rival, who was the previous mayor (I think), and the whole town seems to already hate both of these people, so why couldn't he have just launched his own campaign and I think he would have won in a landslide.
@shawnfields23693 ай бұрын
Of COURSE; The actual killer is the beloved teacher who could be your grandfather? It's...genius!!! Obviously; I'm kidding; as soon as Jeremy showed the old guy on screen; and recognized him as the Dad from Boy Meets World(best sitcom ever made; fyi); I was like: how could that dude NOT be the killer?!? He had to have done it! Such a stupid idea for a movie that sounds like a bad parody; trying to be "Scream"; or "The Purge"(because we clearly didn't get enough Purge movies already); with a little of "I Know What You Did Last Summer"; thrown in there too; I'm guessing? It's too bad that Cory's Dad has fallen to starring in bad horror films. He was such a good father to Cory; that he had to do this? Damn man...

strongly agree with all the main points of this review, nailed it! hell, there was a musical sting to steer us away from Mr. Jackson being the killer. and the opening "kill" didn't completely play fair with the audience imo. i guess the alternative is not even showing it a la Scream VI, so it's a tough situation. Scream did it right tho. amy hargreaves was so good in Super Dark Times... couldn't believe her in this. Super uneven acting lol. the killer and motive reveal was pretty strong. but i'm not sure i buy that Allison and her dad would be cool with letting Jackson live. at all.

I saw this at an early showing on new years, we didn’t know what the movie was gonna be until it started (regal has these every few Mondays, it’s very cool). Was also not a big fan of it. I didn’t even get that it was supposed to be campy, I thought it was just attempting seriousness. I agree that the end was clever and some aspects of it were enjoyable but overall it just wasn’t great. A few more edits and I think this movie would’ve been solid. Had the same realization with the old guy haha. It wasn’t unwatchable but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it. I don’t remember the music thing you’re talking about but it’s also been a while since I’ve seen it so I forget. I agree with the review, slightly negative but I get it.

Sound issue. I had that problem with Interstellar - that movie used something like a foghorn, only slightly more musical, endlessly, but always at critical moments. I was in almost the back row of a 600 seat auditorium because I bought tickets at the last minute. I think I was about 15 rows away from the center focus of the center audio channel, but about 1 row away from the foghorn subwoofers. It wasn't until I streamed it at home that I found out all the important dialogue that happened during those critical moments.
