It's always the people who are in the wrong that will call the other side petty....😮

We have to make our children accountable, if you don’t they go thru life making excuses for bad behavior.

I think he's blocking the friendship being repaired. He feels guilty because he realizes how stupid ignoring them is, they seem like nice people.

Got a feeling there’s a lot of pride and embarrassment and immaturity on the defendant’s side which is leading to he and the wife not taking responsibility. I really hope they all work it out!!!

This is sad. The defendants kid scratched the car, and he called them petty because they were owed money.

I would never want to live this close to Friends for this very reason...and the defendant needs to get a serious handle on his kids.

Once again judge M have the same intuitive feeling that I did that it's a husband getting in the way of the friendship and when she pointed it out to him by asking him a question about him being in the way the friendship I think that broke him down the judge was actually spectacular in this!!!

I know him personally. Maybe if he got a job and stopped cheating on his girl and got his family in order, he could stop pointing fingers att other people and be accountable for his households actions

OK, I have no proof but I feel like once the husband was back in the picture there was tension between the women. The plaintiff spent all of this time consoling her friend over his b.s. and now he's back. He also felt the need to reassert himself and push the plaintiff to the side. The wife probably had less time for the plaintiff and then they weren't paying on time. The plaintiff felt unappreciated and discarded. The husband was in his wife's ear about them being petty. And now the friendship is over, his wife is hurt, he's put on blast on national t.v., and he still owes the money.... The End

To see him break down and cry shows real emotions. Tough on the out side but batteling so much hurt on inside aside from case

Dude! They aren't petty...they helped you..got you a house...shared the garage..she was there for your wife when you weren't. They seem like good people. You need to step up and take responsibility for what your daughter did. Set an example for your children.

This case is about how the defendant and his family keep taking advantage of the plaintiffs and kept taking advantage of their friendship. Once confronted with how horrible they have been to the people who helped them out, dude tried to cry and go sympathy. He's a joke, and I fully believe the plaintiff doesn't believe those fake tears. He just didn't want to come off like the bad guy he is in the situation.

I see where the defendant’s kid gets her lack of responsibility

He’s the problem: he seems sincere but he gets in his own way by not being accountable and modeling accountability for his kids.

The defendant's wife is cowardly 4 not showing up beside her husband & avoiding the plaintiff all this time b4 the case.

If the defendant made some attempt to pay, instead of blowing the plaintiff off, I don't think they would have brought it to court. The defendant started off saying "his kid never admitted to it" then all of a sudden it's in a text that his kid did admit it", then he also called them petty - this guy sounds like a kid himself.

Cases like this are why I love JM and miss the People's Court. JM expresses so much empathy.

It doesn't take a village, it takes a mother and father properly raising the children that They decided to bring into this world. You laid down and created them, so do your job in raising them. It's no one else's responsibilty but YOURS.

Growing up in a big Dominican family ( 8 children, 13 cousins) all of us around the same age, I can tell you kids can in trouble, kids lie and accountability is everything because most likely it will happen again, for the defendant to say his wife doesn’t get involved in petty things is about being a grown up, being a parent and taking responsibility for your kid’s own doing, smh.

The defendant will ultimately be responsible when his kids become older and are involved in far more serious crimes. He isn't parenting and making his own kids face the consequences of their bad behaviour.

If my kids damaged my neighbors car, and we were close like these people were…. I would absolutely pay for the damage! Im the parent and im liable for what they do, i don’t get how the affected party is petty! Smh

A man and his foolish pride can be a terrible thing😢. With that being said, this all comes down to one word: ACCOUNTABILITY! I know we can’t keep our eyes on our kids like a hawk all the time but the fact your kid snuck out of the house and you not knowing your little kid isn’t in the house long enough to write this on the car is really bad. Unpopular opinion. Stop having a bunch of kids if you can barely take care of the first ones. People who have 3+ kids but then complaim about the hardships or finances are foolish.

The defendant is immature and i think he's the reason there's so much chaos. His wife is in the text working things out yet she stays home and he puts everything off on her. Then i think his crying and saying he needs to be a better husband was all an act. Calling them petty because they want him to damages his wife admitted their daughter did and he won't even pay for their shared garage.

So many people do this- when THEY owe money, when THEY are irresponsible and are late financially, the people who helped are “petty” or “disloyal”. So annoying

The defendant is the epitome of petty. Know your damn role in your household, in your marriage, in your friendships and in your interactions with those around you. Defendant seemingly lacks insight of himself. He’s not a problem solver and he sounds immature the way everything he says “comes out wrong” He needs to mind his own business and let his wife lead in ALLL interactions with the plaintiffs going forward whether they continue being friends or not.

This judge is just the best, she was absolutely spot on in summing this whole situation up, not just the money, but more importantly the relationship involved. I would have loved to see at the end the lady give the man a hug, there was alot of hurt feelings, and typically anger comes from having your feelings hurt. Great case!

I usually don't cry but the defendant got me bawling. I really hope those two couples work everything out!!! You guys are all great people you can put your differences aside it's just money its mistakes that kids make. Listen to the judge she was incredible in this! You guys are incredible people and parents!!!

I know they tried to help them as friends but sometimes having friends and family so close and involved with money, it ruins the relationship. But it's also nice the parents can bond and talk because we all need that sometimes.
