This video is about the Development of a freshly hatched cream legbar chick to an adult chicken. I documented the changes of the chick every day for the first few weeks, and every week thereafter, recording all stages of development/aging process and growth from the female chick to the full grown adult hen. Cream Legbar chickens lay blue to green eggs.

Going on three years with my small flock (8) of Cream Leg bar hens. They are laying very well! The eggs are of medium size. I estimate a lay rate, last year of about 220/240 per year per hen. I give a lot of eggs away. They do seem to drink more water then other breeds I have had. I don't know why. They are still standoffish a bit. None have attempted to hatch an egg. That is they are not broody. They have done well in the warm weather, but they have good shade.

Wow! I thought all the pale golden ones would be roosters! I have a two week old one now and it gives me hope that it might be a hen after all.
