Serena “supposedly “ wrote Naomi a personal letter apologizing. I don’t think she had done it publicly though. She really acted like a two year old. Throwing a tantrum in her tutu. She acts like a little child when things don’t go her way on the court. I lost respect for her that day.

Re-watching this knowing of her depression really makes you see how disgusting this entire situation actually was. How this crowd and the officials acted towards her was awful. You should never diminish a player's accomplishments - and that's exactly what they did here. I can't believe this happened to her and wish I could give her a huge hug. Naomi Osaka is one the most humble athletes I have EVER worked with, and I wanted to see her raise the trophy with the cutest (and at times, dorky) smile that she always shows during press conferences and postgame speeches. To be able to play in THAT atmosphere under that amount of pressure at just 20 years old is unbelievable. She is a true fighter and winner. Congratulations, Naomi!!🎾🏆
