@@Seethi_C The mass is a re sacrifice of Christ. Your theology believes that it’s his literal blood and flesh. And that the priest summons Jesus every time at mass. It’s a mixture and confusion of biblical and pagan. Biblically, Christ died once for all sins and was raised from the dead and ascended to Heaven. He left believers the Holy Spirit. He is The Rock not Peter Only he ascended not Mary He is not a genie that is summoned weekly by fallen men it’s a clown show Only he can mediate because only he paid the price so no Mary no Saints Mary is a woman that God used to bring about his will She is not special how Catholics have painted her Dulia and all that stuff is nonsense There are no gradients of worship just another silly Catholic invention Catholics killed numerous Christian martyrs over theological debate such as transubstantiation so these words on KZfaq should tickle people and wake them up not cause grand offense in comparison to being burned alive. Roman Catholicism has a lot of errors. I grew up as a Roman Catholic. I studied in a Roman Catholic school. I remember when I was a kid my grandmother would be paying the staff of the Roman Catholic church in our town to pray for her dead husband and relatives. I would sneak in the service and see to it that the priest will pray for my dead loved ones because my grandmother paid for it. Even as a kid, I could sense that there's something wrong in their doctrines. Later on, I served in a Roman Catholic church in our town during my high school days. I was about to enter a Roman Catholic seminary in order to become a priest. I had a lot of questions because I've seen many errors in their doctrines and practices. Those things are questionable. But thank God, even before becoming a Protestant, He guided me. He led me out of Roman Catholicism. I will never return to the Roman Catholic church. It has a lot of errors in their doctrines and practices. While I respect my Roman Catholic friends, I also share with them the Truth. Hopefully, they would leave Roman Catholicism as well. 😊 Bad Theology of Roman Catholicism: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mpeojbeBvp-cf5c.html

We left Roman Catholicism too over 40 years ago after coming to a true saving faith in Christ. 🙌🙌🙌❤️❤️❤️ I remember as a young child two events that never left my mind. -After going to confession the priest gave me my list of penance prayers - so many Our Fathers and Hail Marys and I began praying them and I had a strong sense that this was wrong, The other event was during the mass as everyone was in line to take the bread- I had that same sense that this was wrong. Very confusing because my family and everyone I trusted never showed any concern over these things but my conscience or God given instincts were telling me it was wrong. Thank God I’m free of that false teaching ❤

Thank you Dr. White. I’m a cradle Catholic who left the RC Catholic Church 5 years ago. The Eucharist wasn’t my reason for leaving, but it was something that gave me doubts. I felt it was used as a way to control the behavior of their members. The faithful had to abide by the laws of the church or be denied communion, i.e. a woman who left her abusive husband & remarried without being granted the permission of the church was banned from receiving communion. Yet unholy “priests” who raped children, and the bishops who protected them from prosecution acting “in persona Christi” was deeply disturbing. So grateful I was able to walk away when I did.

@patriceagulu8315 Not due to sinners my dear. Due to the wool being removed from my eyes and seeing the truth of their Apostasy on clear display. They built a hideous temple in the image of The Serpent at the Vatican called the Paul VI Audience Hall. I couldn’t go to my parish anymore because they had a side altar to JPII whom they fast tracked to sainthood even though he oversaw the worst pedophile scandal and he himself, promoted & protected from investigation or arrest within the Vatican Fr. Marcial Maciel Degollado, known at the Vatican as "the greatest fundraiser of the modern Roman Catholic church"

. Known to his seminarians & their families as a notorious pedophile who abused his physical & “metaphysical” power over his seminarians and others. I kinda see him as a predecessor to the kind of operation Jeffrey Epstein was running .At the 1994 World Youth Conference in Mexico PJPII went so far as to declare Maciel "an efficacious guide to youth” to a horrified Mexican audience knowing of Marcial’s proclivities and JPII was ignoring their letters. And that, he was. JPII’s biographers whitewashed it saying JPII believed the stories to be false rumors used in communist propaganda. Be that as it may JPII failed to 'lead an exemplary life worthy of imitation’, far from it. His “Sainthood” was a total farce. That brought into question all the saints, all the ‘teachings’, all the claimed authority. It all came crashing down like a house of cards when I saw the images online of the Paul VI Audience Hall.

Him being the Logos, meaning the Word made Flesh, as John tells us means of course anything He Himself said is also God Breathed or do you question Christ's Deity? Did Jesus do other than quote from the OT or did He also tell us what Books from it are divinely inspired? Your question does not come from a place of genuine inquiry or if it does it would seem to be one coming from a lack of study. I'm not trying to be mean here just trying to figure out what your getting at? EDIT to add: In that time there were no books it was all done on scrolls or other media from that time. Books are a later creation.

James - Beware of a critical spirit There is a significant difference between helping someone improve and having a critical spirit. A critical spirit is never pleased. A critical spirit expects and finds disappointment wherever it looks. It is the opposite of 1 Corinthians 13: a critical spirit arrogantly judges, is easily provoked, accounts for every wrong, and never carries any hope of being pleased. Such an attitude damages the critiqued as well as the critic.

The words I have spoken to you-they are full of the Spirit and life. I think He deliberately used offensive language to root out who would still trust in Him despite their confusion, and not walk away, similar to how He used parables to confuse/prevent the pharisees from converting too early and disrupting the plan for the cross. Jesus says 'What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them... whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body' (Matt Ch 15) using that same logic it wouldn't make sense that physically eating Jesus would make us Holier or Justified. I love you/Roman Catholics as siblings in Christ. I think you have you have unnecessary essentials, but so did the Corinthians and Paul considered them brethren. I hope despite not being able to be in your Church due to my belief, you can still consider me saved by Jesus, like the Canaanite Woman (Matt Ch15) and the little children (Matt Ch19) who had their requests by Jesus granted, despite them first getting rebuked by the Apostles. The ending, when he contrasted the 2 NT uses of "anamnesis," moved me to tears. Dr. White is such a brilliant theologian. I was, however, a bit surprised by 2 apparent mistakes he made regarding Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement). First, the high priest did not wear his ornate clothing when he went into the holy of holies, but only the plain white linen dress of the common priest. Second, there is no way at all that anyone cleaned the blood off the mercy seat! The blood itself was for the very purpose of cleansing. Also, anyone who touched the Ark would die; if anyone other than the high priest went behind the veil, he would die; if the high priest went in on any other day, he would die; if he went in an extra time, even on Yom Kippur, he would die; if he went in without blood, he would die. Contrast all of that, as Hebrews does, with the free access we have to the "throne of grace" in Jesus Christ!

Thank you, thank you, thank you Dr. White for sharing this message. You and Dr. Gavin Ortlund have been extremely helpful explaining how Roman Catholics do not comprehend Christ's substitutionary atonement as the Apostle Paul writes about in Romans 3 as well as the author of Hebrews. It takes much study and prayer over all the Scriptures to get an understanding of the gospel message in order to be able to share it with others. In addition to what you shared in this message why transubstantiation does not work because of the letter to the Hebrews, Jesus would not have lead his followers into violating the Law as stating in Leviticus 17:10-12. Jesus was setting up the cup and bread as representing his sacrifice on the cross as a memorial ceremony as opposed to leading his followers into violating the Law. Jesus was sacrificed on Passover for a purpose. At the first Passover when the blood of the lamb was spread onto the doorpost and lintel then those inside the home were covered by the blood of the lamb and the angel of death passed over their home. For those who have believed upon Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God, he is their Passover Lamb as they are now covered by the blood of Jesus and are saved from the second death. Amen!!

@patriceagulu8315 Jesus did not come to abolish the Law but to fulfill the Law. The Law applied when Jesus was eating the Passover meal with his disciples. He fulfilled the whole Law. @patriceagulu8315 I'll address your last comment later which has to do with Acts 15. Please address your original comment to my original comment and please be direct why you disapprove of my original comment to Dr. White? Do you not see that Jesus, God in the flesh, had to keep the entire Law in order to be sacrificed upon the cross. His sacrifice was for us sinners, so those who place their faith in Christ now receive His righteousness. Those in Christ are now righteous before God because of Christ's substitutionary atonement for our sins. Going back to Leviticus 17:11 "For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the alter to make atonement for your souls.' Please read Romans 3 and 4 before responding. I sincerely appreciate your comments.

@MicahBlack
@MicahBlack 5 ай бұрын
Hey there! Super question- I don't know if there was one moment that only physical, then a separate moment when Jesus sprinkled blood on a heavenly alter. It could be that the cross was a moment and place when Heaven and Earth intermingled as one alter, since Jesus is both fully man and fully God. In Colossians 2:14, Paul says that God has forgiven all our sins and nailed the "charge of our legal indebtedness" to the cross! The cross was so much more than the way Jesus physically died. It was a spiritual alter, the lynchpin God used to bring us back to Him.

Great message, Dr. White. Joel Webbon has a great sermon out there that talks about the unjustness of the universal atonement position. John MacArthur also has a great sermon on the limited atonement overall, but includes discussing the mercy seat itself, the hilasterion. When you factor in the fact that the Greek original text of "all" does not refer to all people, as anti-Calvinists claim, but refers to all time, that removes a defense the universal atonement theory. The verses are used frequently in that way by anti-calvinists in this ignorance aggregation of a medium.

Remember we that eve, when, the Last Supper spread, Christ, as we all believe, the Lamb, with leavenless bread, among His brethren shared, and thus the Law obeyed, of all unto their sire declared. The typic Lamb consumed, the legal Feast complete, the Lord unto the Twelve His Body gave to eat; the whole to all, no less the whole to each did mete with His own hands, as we confess. He gave them, weak and frail, His Flesh, their Food to be; on them, downcast and sad, His Blood bestowed He: and thus to them He spake, "Receive this Cup from Me, and all of you of this partake." So He this Sacrifice to institute did will, and charged His priests alone that office to fulfill: to them He did confide: to whom it pertains still to take, and the rest divide. Thus Angels' Bread is made the Bread of man today: the Living Bread from heaven with figures dost away: O miraculous gift indeed! the poor and lowly may upon their Lord and Master feed. Thee, therefore, we implore, O Godhead, One in Three, so may Thou visit us as we now worship Thee; and lead us on Thy way, That we at last may see the light wherein Thou dwellest aye.

The problem I see with Mr whites teachings is that he stays on the word, where Catholicism goes inside the word and brings the word out through faith and practices. @@joseoctavioamezcua2613 Sir, you're massively confused because you're putting all of your faith and trust in Catholicism rather than what the Scriptures teach. I was once a devout Catholic until I started reading the Bible and recognizing many of Rome's false teachings. Just look at the UNBIBLICAL and AHISTORICAL dogma of the Bodily Assumption of Mary. That teaching is NOWHERE found in Scripture, and not seen in the first several hundred years of Christianity. In other words, that teaching has NOTHING TO DO with the Christian faith, but Rome comes along (in 1950) and says that everyone MUST believe it (because it's now a DOGMA of the Catholic Church) under the threat of anathema.

So reading the Bible made you leave the Catholic Church? I find it interesting that many read the Bible and become Catholic. Are you sure you are listening to the Bible and not someone else’s interpretation of the Bible? The Bible tells us 1 Timothy 3:15 that the church is the pillar of Truth. King James Bible: Heb 10:12, “But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God.” Catholic NAB Bible: Heb 10:12, “But this one offered one sacrifice for sins, and took his seat forever at the right hand of God.” The King James Bible says Jesus Christ offered one sacrifice for sins forever, THEN SAT DOWN….The Catholic NAB Bible says that Jesus Christ offered one sacrifice for sins, THEN FOREVER SAT DOWN… So if Jesus Christ forever sat down, how is he coming down thousands of times on Catholic altars every day? And how is he coming back ever, if he sat down forever? So you see that it does matter which Bible you believe. We are told in 2 Tim 2:15, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” The Catholic NAB and most other versions take out “study”. They inset: Be eager to present yourself or be diligent. They don’t want anyone to study the word of God. I hope this helps someone to compare spiritual things with spiritual things.

A "symbolic" rememberance of the event is exactly what Christ intended. The problem of catholicism is that it postulates that the wafer and wine become the LITTERAL flesh, and LITTERAL blood of Christ in their hands during the mass. Even when I was a catholic I myself didn't know that was central to catholic theology. That idea is not warranted biblically, and it is quite sacrilegious and blasphemous to claim you are LITERALLY sacrificing Christ over, and over, and over, and over, and over again. Totally against the the 'once and for all' atonement preached very clearly by the apostles in the new testament.
@DesignInNature
@DesignInNature Жыл бұрын
@Jake That is blatantly incorrect. Most run of the mill catholics themselves don't know that this is in their Churche's theology. But their "Trans-substantiation" doctrine explicitly postulates that the wafer and wine LITTERALLY become the flesh and blood of Christ. Not that it is a "Symbol" of the flesh and blood, but that it IS the flesh and blood of Christ. Really, Catholic theology couldn't be more clear about that. They in fact make a big deal about it against protestants for believing that it is only a "symbol in rememberance of...", rather than the ACTUAL, physical transubstantiation of the wafer and wine into the flesh and blood of Christ. They can say whatever they want about their ritual being some sort of "time machine" for modern believers to travel to the past to partake in the litteral blood and flesh of Christ. The problem is that by claiming they ARE partaking EVERY Sunday not in a "Symbol", but in the LITTERAL flesh and blood, then Christ didn't give his flesh and blood as a sacrifice once and for all. He still literally keeps getting torn and sacrificed for the same individuals over, and over. It goes completely against what Peter and Paul taught all through their epistles.

Westminster Confession of 1646: Of the Lord's Supper II. In this sacrament, Christ is not offered up to His Father; nor any real sacrifice made at all, for remission of sins of the quick or dead, (Hbr 9:22, 25-26, 28); but only a commemoration of that one offering up of Himself, by Himself, upon the cross, once for all: and a spiritual oblation of all possible praise unto God, for the same, (1Co 11:24-26; Mat 26:26-27): so that the popish sacrifice of the mass (as they call it) is most abominably injurious to Christ’s one, only sacrifice, the alone propitiation for all the sins of His elect, (Hbr 7:23-24, 27; Hbr 10:11-12, 14, 18).

I stopped going to the Calvinist church I was attending because it didnt sit right with me, I admit it was a horrible decision. I was tempted and failed many times because I stopped going to church but i never stopped desiring God. Fast forward a while I still haven’t gone to a Catholic mass even once but I have studied enough when Im considering it. I start emailing a parish about answering some questions I have. I start praying for a week that God gives me a sign to show me if the Catholic church is right. The pastoral assistant who id been emailing invites me to the Easter vigil where baptisms are done. I decide to go and I get there a little early. *The very first person I see as Im walking up to the building standing at the top of the stairs is my old wrestling coach that I had known since elementary school through highschool.* He trained me personally teaching me so much and I never knew he was christian. His son’s face is in a picture on the brochures at the restaurant i work at. That Easter vigil mass was easily the most beautiful church service id ever been to. 3 hours and 30 minutes of scripture reading and singing to God along with the baptisms and Eucharist. Theres no way it could have been a coincidence seeing my coach. He didn’t recognize me at first so he had forgotten about me, i didnt know he was christian (even though retrospectively it was obvious with how gentle his demeanor always was), i never told the pastoral associate i was a wrestler in the past, i picked a parish randomly its not even the closest to my house. There were maybe 200+ people that attended that service and i live in WA so its a large population of people. I dont see how it can be possible that out of 7.8 million of the people that live here he specifically went to that parish i went to that night and was the first person i saw literally standing at the top of the stairs of the entrance. My advice is DO NOT WAIT. Go to church whether its anglican or catholic and be in the word of God with His church body, pastoral care, and grace. You need it. Take your time discerning but dont let it paralyze you in making a decision. Pick an ultimatum that decides which one is right and then all the little questions will be answered in time. Mine is “if the deutercanon/apocrypha is canon then the protestant denomination cannot be right because it removed it and deemed it apocryphal” I cant start RCIA until Fall and if/when i do i will be done on Easter so I have an entire year to continue discerning as i join the Catholic church. 45:18 min. into video..."general atonement"! The KJV translators were mostly "calvinists" and understood Greek and Hebrew very well. They chose to use the word 'atonement' in Rom.5:11 to show that 'reconciliation' is 'received'. Christ is the Atonement made by God, and received by sinners (Jn.1:12, Rom.5:17,11) in faith, 'faith in His blood' (Rom.3:25; as a 'propitiation'). The word "general" means all admitting of exceptions, while "universal" means all without exception. Christ is God's 'salvation' offered to men (Lu.2:30), and which must be 'received' from Heaven (Jn.3:27). John Calvin and many others believe in both a "general" atonement AND a 'particular' redemption, as men receive Him which is made by God 'redemption' (1Cor.1:30), as well as 'Salvation' (Lu.2:30). Obviously a gift must be appropriated and received to truly become one's own. Apostle Paul makes it plain that The Day of Atonement included all Israel, even though they were 'not all Israel, which were of Israel', as some were 'the children of the flesh' and 'not children of God' (Rom.9:6,8). And in Acts 17:24-31 God 'hath made of one blood all nations of men' and 'determined ...That they should seek the Lord' and 'now commandeth all men every where to repent' and to appropriate such glorious grace, and 'offers faith/assurance unto all men'!!! I admit that it is "general" (meaning all admitting of exceptions, for there is no redemption for devils, such as Judas, which betray Christ and the gospel), and the confusion arises when equating "general" with the word "universal", and not making right distinctions between the two words, as too many men do!

The Bible verse you are quoting was way before the last supper and the death burial and resurrection of The Lord. You are taking something used as a clear example of how to have eternal life, taking it out of context and then superimposing it on a practice that developed over hundreds of years after Christ. He was making a very very clear analogy between the food and drink in the OT wilderness (old covenant) and the food and drink of the new covenant, the body and blood of Christ. The early church, the true church, including the magisterial reformers and the reformed tradition of today, all believe in the real presence of Christ in the supper. There were varying degrees of interpretation in the early church and there has been throughout, but real presence has been a consistent. What wasn’t present is the view of transubstantiation. That the bread and wine, are magically changed into the actual physical body and blood of Christ. This is a novel idea and it is a serious problem when it comes to the physical nature of Christ. Christ was fully human in his human nature; which means his body can only be in one place at a time. It is in Heaven; not being re-sacrificed on Roman Catholic altars across the world, simultaneously and continually. It’s a dishonor to the once for all sacrifice of the Lord of Glory, spoken very clearly about in the New Testament. Christ is really present in the supper. It is a highly spiritual and marvelous sacrament instituted by Christ, but transubstantiation is not what happens. That is just not what the early church believed or what is taught in scripture. Conflating real presence of the body and blood with Rome’s transubstantiation is the problem.

IN EGYPT THE PEOPLE WORSHIPPED THE SUN AND THEY CALLED IT... THE GREAT GOD OSIRIS. ON THE ALTARS OF EGYPT WERE ROUND SUN-SHAPED WAFERS MADE OF UNLEAVENED BREAD. EGYPTIAN PRIEST WOULD PRAY OVER THE LITTLE WAFERS TO MAKE THEM HOLY. THEN THEY TOLD THE PEOPLE THAT A MIRACLE HAD HAPPENED. THEY CLAIMED THAT THE WAFERS HAD TURNED INTO THE FLESH OF THE SUN GOD, OSIRIS. THE PRIESTS OF EGYPT CALLED THIS MIRACLE "TRANSUBSTANTIATION" AND THEN THE PEOPLE ATE THEIR GOD. THE PEOPLE HAD TO SAY IT WAS OSIRIS, BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE DID. OUT OF FEAR, THE PEOPLE BOWED TO THIS STRANGE NEW IDOL AND SERVED IT. THEY WERE AFRAID OF THE EGYPTIAN PRIEST'S HELPERS AND THEIR MAGIC BECAUSE THE SUN-SHAPED WAFERS MEANT LIFE OR DEATH TO THEM. THE PEOPLE WERE MADE TO BOW DOWN AND WORSHIP THE SUN-SHAPED WAFERS, THE BABY JESUS, THE DEAD JESUS ON A CROSS, THE EGYPTIAN PRIEST AND HIS HELPERS. THOU SHALT NOT BOW DOWN THYSELF TO THEM, NOR SERVE THEM: FOR I THE LORD THY GOD AM A JEALOUS GOD, VISITING THE INIQUITY OF THE FATHERS UPON THE CHILDREN UNTO THE THIRD AND FOURTH GENERATION OF THEM THAT HATE ME AND SHOWING MERCY UNTO THOUSANDS OF THEM THAT LOVE ME AND THAT KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS. Owing to his debate research Dr. White understands Roman Catholicism far better than do most Catholics. The major themes of Hebrews are the absolute sufficiency of Christ as the exclusive and one-time efficacious sacrifice, and as the only sufficient Mediator (High Priest) between God and humanity. I have provided the holy scripture to provide insight as to Catholic dogma on the Eucharist - the REAL presence. I find it problematic Dr White isnt able to do same for his audiences. The Son of Man, explanation given by White is well known for thousands of years, it is a term the Jewish faithful would correlate to the prophets. However, Dr White has a recurring habit in his apologetics to jump around a lot instead of making his point. Why doesn't not make his path straight, instead digressing about new words, anecdotes, describing the Son of Man all unnecessary to refute or debunk the Eucharist. If he has the proof of this let him cut to the chase using scripture in the all the Holy Bible to do so. For 1500 years before the protestant church began it's movement of faith alone, all early Christians ( Catholics and Orthodox) believed then and do now, the REAL PRESECNCE OF CHRIST JESUS in the Eucharist. Let that sink in. There is nothing NEW that Dr White can demonstrate, but he tries...However, if Jesus wanted to double down on belief alone for his Eucharist remembrance, he would have said it, correct? Jesus goes on to say " I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me." again He didn't say " same as believing in His divinity. When the multitude are leaving Jesus and his apostles tell Him that the saying is hard to accept, does Jesus reassure them that it is a metaphor or parable and that he meant belief in Him being the Savior? NOPE. As you will SEE believe St Paul ALSO believes and CAUTIONS those believing Christians NOT to take the Eucharist UNWORTHILY. Finally, below you see that purposely Jesus did not REVEAL His identity to the 2 men on the road Emmaus until He Blessed and broke the bread...then VANISHED. Some protestants like to jest that Jesus isn't inside a wafer of Bread. Jesus is God and He has already proven He is capable of all miracles and He also has proved He is diligent to fulfill all prophecies and truths of His Word. Truly. as his vocation, I hope Dr White do a little more due diligence in his anti-Catholic rhetoric. Also, seriously researching the miracles of Eucharist throughout the ages, with more modern miracles' findings making scientists scratch their heads. You won't hear on mainstream news, just like you won't hear the miracles of the Shroud of Turin. RESEARCH and READ and learn for yourselves. JOHN 6:45: It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Every one who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me. 46 Not that any one has seen the Father except him who is from God; he has seen the Father. 47 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. 50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread[c] which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live for ever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh.” 52 The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”[d] 53 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; 54 he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me. 58 This is the bread which came down from heaven, not such as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live for ever.” Luke 22:15: And he said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you I will not eat it[a] until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” 17 And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he said, “Take this, and divide it among yourselves. 18 For I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” 19 And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 20 And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.[b] ST PAUL 1 Corinthians 23: For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body which is for[c] you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. Partaking of the Supper Unworthily 27 Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. 28 Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For any one who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment upon himself. Luke 24:28 So they drew near to the village to which they were going. He acted as if he were going farther, 29 but they urged him strongly, saying, “Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is now far spent.” So he went in to stay with them. 30 When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed and broke it and gave it to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And he vanished from their sight. CLEMENT OF ALEXANDRIA “’Eat my flesh,’ [Jesus] says, ‘and drink my blood.’ The Lord supplies us with these intimate nutrients, he delivers over his flesh and pours out his blood, and nothing is lacking for the growth of his children” (The Instructor of Children ST. IGNATIUS of Antioch on the Eucharist in his Letter to the Smyrnaeans: “Take note of those who hold heterodox opinions on the grace of Jesus Christ which has come to us, and see how contrary their opinions are to the mind of God. . . . They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer because they do not confess that the Eucharist is the flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ, flesh which suffered for our sins and which that Father, in his goodness, raised up again. They who deny the gift of God are perishing in their disputes.” The earliest Christians were much more informed without their faith being watered down by 500 years of protestant interpretations. The belief in Jesus' REAL presence for His future believers is essential and let's not forget Jesus said He is with us always until the close of the age.

Jesus. 335 Mary. 1 Mary was so important to the apostles when they were writing their letters to the New Testament churches that she was only mentioned once after Jesus had ascended to heaven. (Acts 1:14) Jesus on the other hand was named 335 times. Mary was clearly unimportant to the early apostles. She has no role in salvation. She was an honorable young woman from Nazareth. She obeyed God.

@@bornbranded29 1. Scripture does **not** teach the idea that we need to send anyone for us to the throne of God to ask for grace or mercy, anyone including Mary. On the contrary, we are warmly invited to approach God's throne. Hebrews 4:14-16 ESV - *Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.* 2. That little word "until" shows that Mary was not perpetually a virgin. And, yes, it is in the original Greek. Grammar is not complex. Matthew 1:24-25 ESV - *When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.* 3. Jesus exalted the word of God and obedience to it above his family members. Matthew 12:46-50 ESV - *While he was still speaking to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, asking to speak to him. But he replied to the man who told him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.* This is a companion passage to Matthew 12. Luke 11:27-28 ESV - *As he said these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!” But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”* 4. She herself glorified her savior. She was not a sinless person. Luke 1:47 ESV - *and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,*

The doctrine of transubstantiation (i.e. the idea that the communion bread and wine become the literal body and blood of Christ) didn't officially become part of Roman Catholic Church doctrine until 1215 A.D. at the Fourth Lateral Council. "Mortal" sin does indeed destroy the grace of justification according to the Roman Catholic Church. And they teach that a person CAN'T go to Mass until he or she is first allegedly re-justified by the sacrament of penance. Rome denies the once-for-all sacrifice of Christ (Hebrews 10:12), and so they come up with a false gospel of endless sacrifices (Masses) that can't perfect anyone.

Secondly, ALL are welcome to attend Mass. Those in a state of grace AND those in mortal sin. One must receive absolution through the sacrament of confession ***prior to receiving Communion***, but your comment that one cannot go to Mass if they are in a state of mortal sin is completely incorrect, and your response to my comment did absolutely nothing to refute a word I said.

@@midwifemichelle First of all, there are MILLIONS and MILLIONS of people who faithfully attend all kinds of false religious services (including Catholicism). But that's NOT having a "heart for God", that's a clear demonstration of the power of false religion. Rome DENIES the biblical teaching of the imputed righteousness of Christ (i.e. the ONLY way that a person can come into a right relationship with God), and instead supplants that with a false system of endless Masses, a sacramental system of salvation, a sacerdotal priesthood, Purgatory, indulgences, etc. as the path to God. Thank God we had a Protestant Reformation 500 years ago that brought the true biblical gospel to the light of day.

Catholics do not need to be evangelized. The only Catholics that might need your efforts are those who do not follow their faith, and bless you for befriending them and leading them to Christ. A true Catholic that knows the faith will be glad to be your friend and you might learn some truth if you try to evangelize a real Catholic.

You are right, if Christians had not been given a mandate by Jesus to preach the gospel to the lost. Rome has lead you astray by doctrines of devils.

If Jesus' death were sufficient to save us without the need for anything else, there would be no need for us to have faith in order to be saved.
@johnclaiborne2749
@johnclaiborne2749 5 ай бұрын
That doesn't make any sense. We need FAITH in Christ's FINISHED work. If we ignore or reject Christ's finished work, then obviously we can't be saved. Romans 5:1 explicitly says that we have "peace with God" (i.e. salvation) after we've been "justified by faith".

@@tombretislow7091 I already answered that. Romans 5:1 says, "Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ". Do you understand what it means to be "justified"? Do you understand that those who DO NOT put their faith and trust in Jesus are NOT justified (i.e. NOT saved)? You seem to think that every person is already saved because Jesus died on the cross. That's a false belief that denies Scripture's clear teachings.

@@tombretislow7091 WOW! It's amazing that when I quote Scripture and ask a few questions (such as "Do you understand what it means to be "justified"?), that's allegedly "long-winded (and snotty)" in your eyes ?!?!?!? Can you at least interact with what I wrote? Do you understand what Romans 5:1 is saying? Is it somehow offensive when I ask you such questions?

@@almardiete8870 Painting with broad strokes, the KJV was the bible of the Protestant Church for about three hundred years. The Church had one bible, and they believed Gods promise that He preserved His Word. When in church you didn’t hear “What does your translation say?” Then Along came the James Whites of the world and sold the Church on the other translations stating they are easier to read and say the same thing, just in a different way. Many people, including myself bought the lie. When they discover that they DON’T say the same thing in a different way and that there are MANY differences in them, they objected as they are required to do. What happens then? James White ATTACKS THEM for dividing the church stating: "Responsibility must be laid at the door of the KJV Only camp for the destruction of many Christian churches." WRONG! JAMES WHITE and his cohorts are the ones destroying the church as they brought the division. James Whites’ nauseating book on the subject is an attack on bible believing Christians that begins on the cover of the book! Therefore, it is my opinion that G3 has absolutely no business allowing this man to speak.
