Script for Night King : Lose your first battle against stupid humans and be killed by little girl. Script for Golden Company : Be more useless than Bran. Script for Dragons : Reduce your damage and invulnerability in Ep. 4 but in Ep. 5 increase it. Script for D&D : Ruin this show as much as you can.

The whole episode is a metaphor. The city and its people represent previous seasons and character development, logic and common sense, while Dany and Drogon represent D&D.

I liked Daenerys as a character honestly, I thought she had her flaws and made some bad decisions, but could understand where those were coming from. She did things she believed were for the greater good, as well as her own benefit, which is also fine.But come on, the girl who spent most of her time and used up her resources to free half the continent, raising a solid council around her full of noble and great people, suddenly feels like killing innocent people for no fucking reason what so ever? What kind of backass plot twist is that, if she got power hungry (which wtf would she, she was 10x times powerful like a season ago when she had 3 dragons, all of her army etc) and wanted revenge on the Cersei, wouldn't she just focus everything into going for her? Destroying the keep, feeding her to her dragon or whatever. But nah, she puts her revenge on the side for a sec, while doing the more important thing to her- burning innocent people to a crisp. I've never seen such bad writing in my entire life, this is a new low.

Conspiracy theory: Martin pitched this idea of season 8 to D&D during the writing stages so everyone would turn and buy Martin's books after it was all said and done. D&D bought it because it was Martin's word. If they couldn't see a coffee cup or Jaime's real hand in the last moment before the building crushes them in the editing stages, then they wouldn't be able to see this demolition of a season during the pitch. They (most likely) won't remake the last season so we would have to wait for the release of those books. During that wait, emotionally disgruntled GoT fans (who haven't read the books) will flock to the books, read all the books just in time for the release of the next one, and Martin will ca$h in. Played HBO, threw D&D under the bus because he's that good, and used the chaos to climb the ladder and make his book series the best selling of all time. Mad genius, also highly unlikely

How to fix this episode: 1. Cercei prepered wildfire and placed it under city - near walls. 2. Daenerys's forces breach the gate by using force - it will show that there is real battle 3. Mad Queen is flying around and is destroying Iron fleet - she need time to sink it 4. Jon lead army into the city and Daenerys is flying to support them. 5. King's Landing ring bells, so everyone stop fighting. 6. Pyromancers hear bells, so they unleash wildfire. 7. More than half od Daenerys army and part of Lanisters army are dead in wildfire + she and her dragon was knock back during explosion but Drogon was fast to react and uses his wings to escape. 8. Daenerys see that her army is crippled. She know that Cercei planted trap by using surrender card to kill all invaders. 9. Daenerys decide to burn her way into Citadel by buring everything in her way. Plus wildfire is spreading and consuming other parts of city. PS: Why does Jon's army look like ruffians? Bolton had legionaries! Where are true forces of the North?

Before season 8 GoT's _worst_ rated episode on IMDb was an 8.1 which includes all episodes from _any_ previous seasons (1-7). ALL SIX episodes of season 8 scored lower than the _all time_ lowest with the final 3 episodes scoring _much_ lower at 5.6, 6.2, & 4.3 (as of now). All this despite the magnificent jobs by the cast/crew. What a failure D&D. Shame.

I'd say the expressionless look on Bran's face is a foreshadowing of how all us fans will look and behave after the series is finished. "You feel like watching some GoT?" "Nah, I'm something else now."

(Breaking Bad was still better b4 the tragic season 8 of GoT) GoT remained #2 until Ep 3 of Season 8. After "The Long Night" the show made a spectacular tumble down to the 7 rings of Hell. 6 fucking episodes of slaying awesome character arcs, dead-ending mysterious story-arcs, teleporting and basically rushing the narrative to get to the finale in a criminally contrived way while showing EVERYONE double-fisted middle fingers as Dunkirk&Douchebag shamelessly nominate season 8 for a WRITING EMMY! Dirtbag&Dandelion committed subversion to a fraudulent extent. So devoid of love and logic for what would have been the greatest ever. Derwood&Dishwater were sociopathic in their crime cuz they were mentally incapable of giving a single FUCK abt the show's legacy or anyone attached to the success of the series. Even the KZfaqrs. The ripple effects of season 8 are many and mostly intangible. Darksphincter&Dickless should be sued for "Wrongful Death" and FRAUD. Seriously. Disney ruined Star Wars for us, then Dicksucker&Dorkfucker ruined GoT for us. All the aformentioned KZfaqrs are to be credited for the restoration of my sanity. Those IP's were extremely mportant to me (my family) and I can't rewatch anything that came b4 season 8 of GoT or Ep VIII of the Star Wars criminally produced Sequel Trilogy. Fortunately I am STILL able to feel a sense of catharsis when I watch and rewatch the 100's of hours of GoT season 8 reactions and Sequel Trilogy reactions and critiques and for that I thank you all!! ❤️

A very simple way was to put scorpions all over civilian roof tops in the city. Not on all of them, just scatter them around, so that Dany will have to either retreat her dragon or destroy both the scorpions and nearby houses. I would totally do this if I were Cercei, since she said "All we need is one good shot." Sure if you line the scorpions straightly on the city wall, they'll be gone in one fire breath. But if you put them in random houses, Dany will be having two minds. Then maybe Drogon got one hit in the leg to make Dany mad enough to attack and burn everything, enemies and innocent all the same. This would have made the battle good enough for me. I really don't like Dany, but this shit still made me mad :D
