The Twisted Metal developer history is definitely a weird one. Single Trac made the IP for Sony and developed the first two games, and then the franchise got handed off to a separate developer (989 studios) for 3&4, before getting handed off to Incognito for Black and Small Brawl, which was a studio made up former Single Trac developers. Then, for Head-on and the PS3 version, the franchise got picked up by Eat Sleep Play, a studio made up of former Incognito developers. David Jaffe worked on the same franchise across 3 different studios. It's super strange.

A massive open world Star Wars games makes me think of No Man's Sky, but with proper combat. Still waiting on games based upon The Clone Wars & Rebels cartoons, with the art style & voice actors from the shows. One might need to differentiate between an Indie game and an Indy game.

The ps5 game help is integrated into the cards. For example, you click on the card of the mission and there should be a get help button that has a quick 10-15 second video to help you. For example, there was one mission on Spider-man remastered I got stuck on and spent 15 minutes trying to figure something out and it turned out the thing I was missing was just that I didn't notice that a picture frame I kept staring at, had a key. I've also used it once in Bugsnax when I couldn't figure out how the tripwire worked for the intro to the tripwire mission.

I don’t suppose that ubisoft could make a bounty hunter game based on the Mandalorian characters with Starlink style planet hopping and Ghost Recon Wildlands style open world? I'm really hoping this open world Star Wars game isn't a looter shooter. But I wouldn't mind something similar to Star Wars 1313 in terms of gameplay. But what I would really love is another KotoR game or at least something similar in terms of RPG. Those were some of my favorite games ever made.

The situation with the new consoles is just awful. I just wish people wouldn’t pay overinflated prices for 2nd hand goods! I’d be tempted to pick up a new console for retail price or less. I just hate the idea that scalpers are making money from the idiots that are willing to pay their ransom. It’s only going to make things worse.

Surprised Star Wars Galaxies wasn't mentioned. Ive never been big fan of MMORPG's but I hope that the new Star Wars game will be able to match the size and feeling of Galaxies. I don't think any SW game since has come close. Maybe the newer MMO has but I can't say, as Galaxies is the only MMORPG I have ever played.

I'm hoping that the Star Wars game is nothing to do with anything Jedi/Sith. There's so many interesting stories to tell with other aspects of that universe.

My complaint about Cobra Kai - episodes need to be longer. Maybe modern shows just spoiled me, but Cobra Kai really seems like it cuts off abruptly and too soon. Sure, I still get to just turn on the next episode and continue watching, but the poor placement for episode cutoffs is kind of breaking immersion for me and feeling like a commercial break.

It could just be that it was part of the deal that Lucasfilm Games would be able to start the new games with separate studios towards the end of the 10 year deal so they could be ready with new games for when the partnership ends.

I get the hate for Ubisoft, and their style of open world games, although in small doses, so they don't become repetitive, i enjoy them, like the recent Assassins Creed, mixed with Star Wars, that could be cool indeed.

I played ET and loved it. Was able to beat it over and over when I was like 5. I'll never understand all the hate.

I fear this. Ubisoft IMO has not shown they are great world builders. They make fairly fun open worlds that are about as deep as a kiddie pool.

I just don't want a formulaic ubisoft star wars game. I'm not the biggest SW fan but it would really suck in my opinion if the game we got was just this big world with thousands of things to do but it was all the same, just go to a tower and sync up to reveal the map, go to an enemy camp to get some treasure, do this fetching side quest, etc

You guys do not understand how Disney's open video game licensing works. You say, "I don't understand how Square Enix got the Avengers". Square Enix doesn't have exclusive rights. They pitched an Avengers game. Disney/Marvel allowed them the right to make it. Now while they were making it and let's say another developer like CD Projekt Red approached Disney/Marvel with their own idea for an Avengers game. Disney/Marvel won't say no because Square Enix is making a game. They would allow it if the game is worthy of the license. Disney/Marvel owns the license and there is 0 exclusivity. Another thing to take note. Sony does not have exclusive rights to Spiderman. Meaning Microsoft can pitch their own type of Spiderman game and essentially get the go ahead and create their own game. However ... this is highly unlikely to happen not because Sony holds exclusive. But because Sony has set such a high bar for the character in video games. It would be a tough sell to convince Disney/Marvel that the Microsoft game would be worthy of a licensing deal. The new Lucasfilm games licensing deals are 100% the same. You hear Sony fans on the internet saying that a property like Indiana Jones should not be exclusive to the XBox. But here is what those people don't get. Sony can approach Lucasfilm games with their own idea for an Indiana Jones game and if the idea is worthy. Lucasfilm games would greenlight the project. *To note. Look at how licensing worked on the Sega Genesis and SNES/NES. Batman games ... 2 totally different games of the same film for each system. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ... different games on different systems but same license. Same thing goes today.

Ahhh, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles incl. the subsequent movies really captured the Essence of what an Indy adventure(s) should be like. Until now qualitywise surely three times as better than that awful Crystal Skull movie...

He does a great Harrison Ford impersonation As for XBox exclusivity for Indiana Jones ... it will be. How do we know this? Bethesda tweeted out the news of the game. Microsoft retweeted the news ... Sony did not. Microsoft showed the trailer on their channels. Sony did not. Then there was, "Produced by Todd Howard" and published by "Lucasfilm games in collaboration with Bethesda". This is just a placeholder. Read the open licensing deals. Disney/Marvel and now Lucasfilm games are not "Publishing" anything. As their deals are specifically, you pitch an idea. If it is worthy. You get the license as long as you fund the development and marketing 100%. However Disney/Marvel/Lucasfilm games has the right to cancel, change as well as embed members of their team into the development studio to oversee progress. This is why you never saw licensed games exclusive to XBox much as Microsoft has always been against this practice from licensers. And can be costly if a game gets canned well into development.

While I do think that the Division is one of the better games in its genre, after Avengers, I hope this Star Wars game is not a looter shooter. But I remain optimistic, even if it turns out to be one.

I think with the second hand market, it isn't just scalpers reselling, if I had managed to secure one at launch which unfortunately I wasn't able to, I'm certain I would have resold it for the profit and just waited 6 months. I don't think it makes you a bad person to take advantage of a market, especially on a personal level. Like sure, I want one, but I'd rather wait an extra 6 months and have an extra thousand bucks in my account to spend on something else.

I'm probably in the minority, but I really wish they would make a modern day Indiana Jones instead of the 1940's era with nazi enemies. That era and the weapon doesn't appeal to me at all. I'll end up playing it because I grew up with Indiana Jones, I'll even settle for 1980's or 1990's era. Maybe Indiana Jones grandson as main character with flashbacks to his grandfather's exploits here and there?

I'm glad Disney is unhappy with EA's work on Star Wars so far. It's been such a disappointment overall in the past ~8 years.

Sam defending EA’s decision to cancel Amy Hennig’s game is ridiculous. All you need to do is look up why it was cancelled to realise it was a stupid corporate decision, with most of the ideas going into Fallen Order - which was an mediocre-at-best game.

It’s funny how PlayStation always gets the news of best selling but the Xbox Series X is obviously better in graphics, performance and the controller is so much better!
