So. Generally speaking, the sporting and trap guns are generally heavy and the game gun is generally lighter. Well that clears that up!!

That made me laff.. He forgot that game guns have auto safety everyone you cock.. Think it's cos you're walking abt with others so you don't shoot them up the arse by accident haha

The two barrels of a hunting(gaming) superpose are not parallel, and when shot the pellets hit(meet) at the same point of aim at 32.5 meters. Is there a difference for skeet and trap rifles?

Is there much of a difference between a trap and sporting barrels apart from the fixed chokes?

Apart from a knats fart not much haha. Higher cheek on stock. And usually high raised ribs

I’m a beginner here. What is a game gun? Is it the same as skeet?

A game gun is used to shoot game, game being birds, pheasant, grouse, partridge etc. I can see the confusion

So if you are shooting clays for the purpose of improving your shooting for when you hunt, should you use a sporting gun or your game gun?

I shoot a sporting gun for sporting clays and then use a semi Automatic for game. Works for me

I know I am very late but in my opinion you should use a game gun if you are shooting at clays to improve at shooting actual birds since the game gun is what you will infact be using out on the field so you are used to it being lighter when shooting and not heavy like a trap or sporter because you won't really be used to a heavy gun out on the field and you might end up aiming too far in front of the bird (since you are used to a heavier gun). Glad if this could help its honestly just personal preference of what you are used to but if I were you I would use a game gun.

@@Dent715 that's been a question I e often thought of cos I use an ou on clays and do well. Then use a sxs for birds and bloody miss haha. I'm also shite with my semi so I sense comon tells you to take the ou sporter on live shoots. But I don't.. work that out haha

The amount of cartridges your putting through the barrels will heat them are much faster and you’ll be ore likely to damage them, the sporting guns have vents inbetween which helps cool them down faster 👍🏽 (I think🤣)
