I've been thinking of quite a lot of things as well, like a West Virginia guide, bartender, a hired gun, or maybe a wasteland whisperer (if that perk is still in the game), there's just so much potential in this game. They've lost a little edge with recent titles in some aspect in my opinion, but with that fiasco with battlefront 2, I think a lot of big game producers and publishers are taking a step back and re-evaluating. I've been playing Sea of Thieves and I'd say half the players are friendly, the others either just outright attack you or send someone on your ship to see if you've got anything. It depends on whether they want to encourage PvP, DayZ you get to loot your opponent if you kill them and that would probably be the same with F76 as it would be weird not being able to loot some stuff off a dead opponent. It's heavily dependent on what reward PvP offers, but I'm just saying that there's ways of encouraging friendly behaviour in other games

There, you need to team up to do the smalles tasks. like, if you are a hunter, you need a lumberjack and miner to gather resources to build your weapon and also a blacksmith to forge it. From what I've seen I don't think someone can just go around killing everyone without their consent. Also, there will be AI in the form of robots that will give you quests, as well as other ways to get quests (recordings, books, terminals, etc.). There just won't be any "human" AI. That doesn't exclude Mr. Handy, mutants, and other intelligent creatures I would think.

That would be interesting like they get Marked as a "Raider"..heck ,maybe it even reskins them to look like a Raider?

bongomanbw You can actually return your base to camp mode where you carry it around in your inventory and you don't lose it upon death, you take it with you, like a portable workshop, So you most likely cant be griefed by nukes. You don't build large bases. Also, you can't see other players on map, only those in group. So it will be more like encounters and you could probably easily run away and hide.

Their is codes to nuke tho

There's also a warning that a nuke will be launched and where, plenty of time to change your shared server to another instance. Not worried about other players...

Ace It still is an RPG. There is still quests and a storyline and a lot of emphasis on choice. There are no *human* NPCs. In the documentaries it mentions robots, ghouls, and more.

Ace not really an rpg? You can role play as a trader, a raider, and make your own factions. Is that not roleplaying?

Once we get to that point, they are not just going to shut everything down and expect people to never play it again. I am sure they will open servers up to be hosted locally on your machine or make single player available in an official capacity. There are a ton of options available to allow this game to exist far beyond Bethesda's intentions to host it.

If that game is even in a "pre-production" phase, which is unlikely and the only reason they released that teaser was to quell the fans constantly berating them over it, then you're going to be waiting more than 2 years. If you think about what Pete said during the interview, you can use deductive reasoning to come to a pretty reasonable conclusion that TES6 is at least 4-5 years away at the earliest.

Never said there wouldn't be. And I'm definitely going to give this a try. I've loved and played every fallout multiple times. It's a game series that I'm very loyal to. So I'll play it, but know that there will be differences and difficulties.

You have a very valid concern. The internet will be the internet. They do seem committed to their anti-griefing measures, so hopefully they will evolve along with the griefers. At least if you run into a situation like this, you'll be able to pack up your base and move to another server. Also, it sounds like there will be the option of private servers so if you want to be completely alone in the wasteland, that might be a possibility.

Not true I've been playing Conan: Exiles been in a few PvP fights and a couple of clan wars but for the most part it not kill on site more like avoid each other.

Jeff Cook Beyond that, he said after a certain point the game literally wouldn't allow it to continue. I suspect there will be a limit on spontaneous pvp per x hours and anything further would have to be agreed upon duels. The tuning, I suspect, is how far can it go before agressive player's fun ruins pve player's fun. They seem to want to stop just short of that point, which I'm fine with. Might even contract out as a Merc for a player who doesn't want to fight other players themselves occasionally myself.

That's so weird to me that so many people love TES but don't like Fallout. They are like the same exact games just set in different environments. The gameplay is literally almost the exact same just with guns instead of bows in fallout.

AlexS ehh I just never really enjoyed the post apocalyptic setting, always found it bland and empty which I guess is how it’s supposed to be. Elder scrolls is exciting and feels alive and has beautiful environments. I remember when i used to play oblivion sometimes I’d just get lost in the landscape, with Fallout I never got that and Ive tried playing all the recent fallout games (3,nv, 4)

fair enough, personally I love the fallout landscapes and find them somewhat beautiful too. I've played every TES and Fallout since Morrowind, and I gotta say my personal favorite out of both series is Fallout New Vegas. There are so many insanely badass moments, and lots of great DLC especially old world blues. I know it's hard enough to find time to play games you really like, but if you ever don't have a game to play and are looking for a new one I highly recommend you give new vegas another go. The story is just phenomenal

People have been asking for an online Fallout for years and more so since ESO, soooo... I mean... it kind of was asked for. As for Rage 2, it looks alot better than Rage 1. Plus, Doom 2016 went over fairly well, so why not have another?
