Yes there is. Simply redo the same procedure that is used at "start up". Follow the procedure in the Owners Manual (and this video). Good luck!

Nice video. I have a question though. It appears that my 8500 has reached a point where it no longer has the strength to raise the door no matter how many time I go through this procedure. The door travels well on its own, up and down. I've had the unit for about 8 years with very limited trouble. Is it time to just replace it as it's worn out?

It is very important to press the purple button after pressing the remote button on the doors way down.

I tried at least a dozen times. The door will not go to the adjusted spot. Always stays 1” up.

I have the same opener my door is 12 ' tall the door went up but will not come down it try to but then stops. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

same thing happens to me. can't get the door to come back down. can only set the door up. then it doesn't work any longer

Odds are it is one of the safety sensors preventing the opener from bringing the door down. Check to make sure the photo-eyes at the bottom of the door are making a connection and you have both an amber and green light. If the door still will not come down then it is likely the cable tension monitor. The door cable is losing tension at some point in the close cycle, causing the door to reverse or preventing it from going down at all. If this is the case you should call a professional to service the door and opener.

@@davekulakowsky3466 thank you for the response. Ya it's all the way up and it moves about an inch then goes in inch back up to all the way and that's all I does. There fairly new doors I wouldn't think it's the cable. Thank you for the help. Have a good one

is there a way to reprogram how much it opens and closes? when we set mine up we never had the a part set up on it right so we set the open and close wrong

Yes, it's called "travel time". I think this guy explains it in the video.
