I'm real glad I found your video. This fixed my issue. I looked at all the moving parts and felt it may be an adjustment that was needed. I'm not sure why my garage door opener lost it's mind, but I'm glad that's all it was. Thanks for taking the time to post this fix!

Bravo!!! I got it!!! A note; our back up battery is dead, and the electric went out. The doors travel boundaries were erased. It kept trying to go down from the closed position. Thank you!!! GOD BLESS!!!

Your video is better than all of the instructions posts I’ve seen you are great

You are amazing at audio and video both. A lot of people talk when they don’t show what they’re actually pressing or fiddling with. You’re awesome at this, and should keep on going!

If I were you I'd have someone out to take a look at that center coupler. It looks like it's starting to pull apart and the torsion tube is flexing some

If you don’t have a remote can you use the wired garage door button as a substitute to accomplish this adjustment?
@bradysgaragedoors Жыл бұрын
Yes you can.

Seems you are a pro at this, do you know how to connect it with myQ ? I tried the learn purple button but should hear one beep but it don’t hear any beep.
@bradysgaragedoors Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! These units are actually not MyQ compatible. If you wat the MyQ you need to buy a MyQ hub.

u should get a bigger rail bc the carriage is about to hit the motor unit. btw an 8587 will be better for that door
@bradysgaragedoors Жыл бұрын
A longer rail won’t fit, there’s a beam in the middle of the garage. Also an 8587 would be good if the door was unbalanced, and bigger, but in this case it’s not necessary. Also, this opener is converted to a chain drive for better strength.

When I press the black button to program the open position, the door only moves an inch or so and stops. I have to repeatedly press the button a hundred times to get the door in the correct position. When I'm done and click the remote, the door only moves an inch or so.

Could be a bad logic board on the opener
@Russell_L365 Жыл бұрын
@@bradysgaragedoors Thank you for your reply. I was thinking it could be that or the travel module. edit: I just unplugged the travel module and now the door opens ~10 inches before it stops and the lights flash 10 times.

@@maxnovo625 I replaced the logic board.

@@Russell_L365 In my case the 4 white plastic motor clips that engage the positioning sensor broke off the motor. Which means buying a whole new motor.
