Being at the intersection of two cultures enables people to see that what people are told about the world is often arbitrary. Or maybe children of immigrants see the obvious discrepancy between the perceived opportunities and the actual opportunities, simply because their parents often aren’t limited by the norms that distort the perceptions of those not outside the culture.

Was interesting talk, I wish it was much easier immigrate to the USA. Ultimately my goal is also to get enough funds and invest in personal project, to be able to spend my whole time on it without worrying about bills, expenses and all the jazz. By the way totally agree as it was mentioned, getting married especially in a nowadays first of all it needs financial stability.

@@tam6011Yes. Parents are SUPPOSED to help their children succeed. And some people think when parents FAIL to do that, somehow other families are to blame. Somehow, it’s an unfair “privilege”. It’s not some special privilege being handed out by “white supremacy”. It’s hard work. It’s investing in the future. It’s things any conscientious person can do. Ah. Consciousness. That’s really what people don’t want to practice.

Yeah. It is a byproduct. Just work on your strategies and your wealth will come. However, execution is also important. Wealth does not come if your execution is poor due to emotions. Had to learn again, when I wanted to scale from small portfolio to main. Execution has been improving but it's not 1:1 of what I wanted when I managed my smaller portfolios. Definitely making more but it's meh honestly. It's about creating, building, solving problems, execution and repeat. Alpha? Have a shit ton of Alpha. Just can't execute it due to emotions and it sucks so much. It does not matter if it's automated or not. Your mind/emotions will be irrational and exit regardless. Performance is around 120% across all portfolios since Jan but models are performing at 390-ish%. Risk? Barely any. Information? All public, just have to find your niche and dig with a spice of creativity. How? Spiral into a Rabbit Hole in 2022 after simplistic models failed. So I built complicated models with many underlying assets/filters without overoptimization. Still salty because I bought on the lowest low of 2022 but couldn't hold for a month due to irrationality. It's still my first year of consistent execution after redeveloping all my models. It's still Alpha but it's not what I expect to happen.
