You have a diagnosis. Be a bit relieved you are not in the 5-10 yr period many go thru ill & undiagnosed. Knowledge is power. Appts with a diagnosis should be empowering. Do some tele-therapy. You need a cheerleader! Much love & encouragement ❤. Every day, keep a success list. Not a to-do list, but congratulations list for each day of what you got accomplished. This helped my depression.

Take CBD or anxiety pill! I have a hard time with MRI's as well.

I love PT. It is helpful with the right therapist. I get MRI's every two years now for my brain. When your symptoms calm down and you stop dealing with changes, the MRI's and doctor visits slow down. I go every six months and basically it is for blood work and a routine check-up. Keep hanging in there. Enjoy the new puppy.

The different types of MRI's they are most likely referencing is the tesla rating of the machine. Not all MRI machines are created equal and some have better imaging quality than others. The power (quality) of the imaging is referend as the tesla rating. If you had an MRI on a 1.5 tesla MRI machine but then had one on a 3 or 7 small lesions can appear that could not be seen before since it's more detailed. If you google "mri tesla ratings" you can find out more if you're interested. MRI's are also just essentially a bunch of sliced images and if the slices are not in the exact same spots that can also show some differences not seen before in previous MRI's. Most neurologist try to do scans on the same machine rather than different machines for the above reasons.

Dear Sara, you are so brave to go out there with your story, I am sure you will be able to help lots of people ❤. May I ask you, have you ever looked into homeopathy as a therapy? I am in the middle of an education for this incredible healing method and as I understand it can often help to slow down the disease and make you feel better. Wishing you all the best 🌺🌈

I believe that it is well worth a try. Please make sure to look for a good homeopath. I am studying with the international Academy of classical homeopathy and on their site you can find therapists that have learned there. The best of luck to you. 🍀❤️

As with your other treatments check that new drug by its proper name (Lamotrigine) for side effects by searching lamotrigine FDA side effects. If the new MRI does not show a cause of your seizures then keep asking questions about the appropriateness of medications. They are still playing with some heavy duty stuff. Good luck.

Yes I will. Thank you for the support. My goal is to get off all the medication for seizures, just need to get through this MRI and see if I can slowly stop taking the new drug once I am seizure free for a bit. I hate taking the medication!! I hate the seizures and the amount of time it takes me to recover!
