Thing of beauty right there. Of course wish the interior got all the bells and whistles, but can understand from a cost stand point why it has to be left out. The proton pack rack is pretty cool, though. Definitely looking forward to when you get around to the 59 Ecto.

Saw this in a ghostbusters group....to own it...to even get to ride in it...dreams, maybe someday.

Black pepper flat works... matter of fact i did my 99 ranger last weekend... the timing cover gasket was leaking, and i didnt feel like pulling the oil pan to fix it properly (actually not enough time). Water pump was leaking and i fixed that and when i got done the cover was leaking and wasnt going to pull back down.. i will eventually but for now pepper is the trick... but keep in mind once you get it sealed dont open rad cap to just open.. if you open, add a little more pepper, and close back up..

To each their own. I hate hate hate the nasty dirty ecto. Reminds me of getting in people's cars that was straight filthy as a kid. Brings me to my question, have you ever made a real Ghostbusters ecto? Like the cartoon based one?

I'm thinking about making my van into a ecto. But I think I can use a camper canopy for the green tube thing.

You know, even though this is not entirely accurate, it works. It works because many people make their own Ecto 1 vehicles from modern ones that aren't even 59/60 Cadillacs. Ghostbusters transcends beyond the movies. I look at this car, and the other modern ones, as an extension of it. It captures the "Spirit" of Ghostbusters. (*Nyuk *Nyuk)
