Lizard 🦎 Black throats are amazing ! I’ve always loved all of the African rock monitors…which is why I had my Savannah…( miss her dearly 😢) Ive also had 2 white throats in the past as well. Monitors are just incredible !

How long did you have your Savannah for? Did you lose her through natural causes? Sorry for your loss. I'm too sensitive for pets! I lost a shubunkin when I was 10 or so and it was devastating! A heron got him.. his body was left by the side of my pond with a big hole in him and his head.. I trained him to do tricks and beg for food, it was crazy just how much I trained a fish!

Tolerant Lizard! 😂 I would love to have a large wall sized tank to keep them in and do my work in my office next to them. So beautiful and majestic looking.

I have a little baby Red Ackie Monitor _lizard._ He’s only 6 months old (got him at 6 weeks) & he’s mostly intolerant of me. 😂 He’s getting better bit by bit. Sometimes he sticks around after I come down the hallway in the morning & I can reach in & pet him a little. Even getting there took quite a lot of interactions. He sleeps (hiding) from afternoon on, so this limits the progress. I’m hoping with time he’ll be less skittish & pensive, as I’ve seen many others get super tame.

Lizard. I wish we where allowed bigger reptiles in Norway, but I guess my beardie's huge personality weight up for it :P I been working with her a lot, and have good friends and family that have helped with socializing. She gotten a big star at the vet for good behavior. Only puffed her spikes at them when they needed to check in her throat when having some infection.

Lizard. :-) I completely get the "backing of" when they don´t want interaction, and I think it´s great. But what do you do in situations, where you HAVE to "bother" them, even if they don´t want to, for example to give medicine or treat a wound or something like that, that can´t wait until they are in the mood for interaction?

Cool dog. Kidding but i know that these seem much easier to teach than tegu dragons. I had to spend a lot of time with one to get her to trust. A lot of slow movement and staying in the child sized enclosure me and my folks had to get her to know me as tolerable. She wasn't raised by hand and ate live food and was already an adult by the time i knew her. Sad to see her go because my dad had her in an unisnulated attic towards the end and left a water bin that was large enough for her to freeze in.
