I was told ages ago that after we turn 18 we are responsible for our own healing and actions, we have to stop blaming our parents. I am 60 years old and as a child, I was abused beyond anything, but my mantra is I will never be a victim of my parent's illness. My mom always blamed her parents until the day she passed and was never happy in life, I do not want that.

Glenda , between your unique words and sayings, the lilt in your voice and the way you ALWAYS have that polished air about you, whether you're in PJs with no makeup, OR fully fixed up with hair, make-up and dressed to the nines etc , You need to close your eyes and look through the eyes of Zeus, your family and true friends, THEN perhaps you can truly see that you DO personify the beautiful ole saying "She walks in Beauty and Grace"..... 👑

Glenda, I’m saying this completely out of love and truth, God’s truth. I had a great childhood, but I never felt good enough for my parents, other children (peers), and was bullied because of my weight. I was a chubby child. So, I can understand your childhood a teeny bit. I brought that into my adulthood too. I found a good man but ran from him early on, and ended up marrying two men that weren’t compatable with me. I finally married that one man God sent to me early on. Now, to the point, in 2016, I was at the end of my rope, I just wanted to die. God picked me up and told me to focus on Him. I completely let go of everything, my self hatred, my feelings of past hurts, and fought myself to keep from picking it back up. GOD LOVES YOU. YOU ARE HIS, HIS HAS PURPOSE FOR YOU! You must get in God’s Word, and really dig yourself out of this dark pit you have allowed Satan to hold you in. I’m so glad you and Zues are back together and going strong. But, focusing on the Lord will give you a love for yourself, and a deeper love for others than you will EVER realize. Please don’t be offended. I truly love you and want you to get past these past hurts. Just let go and let God...Blessings.

We talked and now that we’re older, we’re back together and happier than ever. He never stopped loving me and I never stopped loving him, so why be apart? We’re working on our escape. We’re leaving everything behind and he’s bringing me home with him. I’m happy Glenda, and I’m happy for you too. I love you honey. I’ve been following you since the beginning of your channel, just had to change my name because of pricks, haters, but I love you so much you have gotten me through the loneliest times, the coldest winters, and here we are, another spring and looking forward to warmer and happier days and nights. Hi Glenda! I am so glad the breakup was not permanent. You and Zues are kindred spirits it seems. I know also about family dysfunction. I was in therapy for 13 straight years of my life to try to get past it all and try to live a peaceful life. I do battle depression though, so bad at times I have to fight myself to find a reason to stay on this earth. But then I always remember that God has all of us here for a reason. But it isn't easy. God bless you Glenda, and thank you for your bravery in talking about your abuse. It does open a door for people to be able to talk about their own pain. You are a joy and a true gift. I’m so happy to hear that you decided to not let unhappy relationships from your past affect your present relationship. We grow, we learn, we mature, and we finally figure out that we are better than the sum of our past failings. If you haven’t already, forgive your parents their shortcomings. It will free your heart from their unhealthy influence. They will have to answer for what they did and did not do. No reason for YOU to continue to do so.

Glad everything turned around and you are in a better place! Thank you Zues for being patient and understanding. Glenda is blessed to have you in her life! Now Glenda you have to thank God for entrusting you with such a precious man! He would not be in your life if the Lord did not think you were ready to receive him(Zues)! Start believing more in God's judgement than in your own! We can (and usually are) be influenced by our past, but God is not! There is no past in God's World, everything is Now! If God does not judge us, who are we to judge ourselves and to deny us the good things and people that He puts along our path in life for us to have and enjoy?? It's like denying someone the joy of giving us a gift, don't take away someone else's right to give happiness to another! God made this happen and we do not have the right to deny God! Enjoy this relationship, grow in this relationship and look at it as your reward for having to endure the childhood that you had ( even if no child should have to go through that!) Storm clouds always disappear and the sun is always on the other side! Time for you to stop following the storm clouds, stand still(in prayer), and enjoy the warmth of the sun on the other side!!!! This is your time for the sun! Plant your garden in your little plot in thanksgiving for the sun and a new chapter in your life! Blessings from me to you for your bravery in stripping away the layers of your life and exposing the negative areas for all to see ! (and learn from) You are no longer that suffering little girl, but a beautiful, strong woman worthy of everything good that this life can give her! Accept them and just look up and say, "THANK YOU"! God Bless to you both!

This video really resounded with me. I have suffered with low self esteem my whole life too from being abandoned by my father, my mother having a boyfriend who ended up molesting me, having psoriasis that developed after the molestation and morbid obesity on and off my whole life after the molestation. I let myself be used by men because I was taught from these experiences that I was not fully human, I was a sex toy to be used and thrown away. I married someone who is kind but emotionally unavailable to me in every sense of the word. I am a few years younger than you. I hope to one day be able to come to terms with my past. Hang onto Zeus. He sounds like a keeper. ❤️

I'm very sad reading about your childhood. Sad and angry really. I feel your hurt & pain. My parents were awful with my mother having numerous affairs & dragging me & my sister with her & making us lie & keep it a secret. I'm so sorry that your father didn't fulfill his duty to care & protect you. I'm very sad too that your mother didn't protect you from the abusive boyfriend. I hope that you've been able to get therapy for the abuse. I've had some therapy which helped a little. I was never able to forgive Mother or Daddy. I gave up torturing myself by trying. I finally gave myself permission to stop trying to forgive and to just "not care" anymore. This has given me peace. You deserve to be happy & to be at peace. Give yourself these things. Your parents could not give it to you because of their selfishness, but you can give it to yourself. May God bless you my sweetest friend 🤗

I never went through what you did with my parents, but I did suffer emotional abuse and bullying from other children. I never felt accepted or like I belonged. I was a heavyset child and that added even more to my feelings of worthlessness. I have come to the conclusion that some people just do not have it within them to give others what they need. Maybe they are giving all that they can, but they have their own issues. My own experiences has taught me kindness, respect, acceptance, and empathy. I forgave those kids a long time ago (it was hard) and went forward with my life. I try my best each day to live my best life and learn something new along the way. You are a special person who has a past and has made mistakes (as we all have) and has been through difficult things. We can rise from those experiences and make our lives better. Thank you for your bravery in sharing this! Although my childhood was not as traumatic as yours I did suffer some trauma and have never felt good enough. Everyone sees me as a multi talented person but I struggle to accept it. Self esteem has always been an issue. My Mom was a perfectionist and it was never what you did right, it was what you forgot or did wrong that was brought up. My parents were not as physically abusive to each other as yours but there was constant fighting, etc. I know firsthand if you don't heal these wounds you can attract people who continue to beat you down. I am glad you have someone in your life who is kind and caring.

This is good news that you let that negativity run its course, and you came out at the other end victorious! We don’t know how long we are on this earth. Choose happiness and follow your true heart. You are truly loved and more than worthy, dear friend. You were a very valuable child. You are a very valuable adult. I’m so sorry and heartbroken that you weren’t treated well. I have some friends that went through rough childhoods back in the 50’s/60’s and they still bare the scars today. My thought on these horrible issues that children must endure is this. No one, that means No One has the right to harm a child of any age! The scars they leave can harm a child all through their life. It is wrong on every level and I’m so very sorry that it happened to you and your siblings as well as so many millions more. It breaks my heart to think that a parent could do these things to their own flesh and blood. I’m praying for you Glenda, I just so sorry you had to go through this. God Bless you and Zeus for being such a wonderful and special loving man to support you in your life’s journey.

Maybe just take a break😢 We all know you love each other and we love Zues too. It’s difficult to have a relationship in the Public’s eye. It should be a kept private and personal. Step back and regroup so you can have the privacy you need. You don’t have to advertise everything to the world. Most people want your happiness, but the small percentage of hateful crazy people try to destroy everything. Praying you are both Safe and that things will work out for your both. Much Love and prayers ❤️🥰🙏🏻

Things in life go up an down and no matter what life goes on. You are moving forward in your life to better things for you and your family. Now next time you get to take some time off go with your daughter and her husband and kids on a day outing and that is what will put smiles and happiness in your life. As I said you are moving forward not backward, ignore the fools or know-it-alls you are kind, generous of heart and spirit, and all who get to know you can't help but admire you.

I’m so sorry you’re going through these things. It doesn’t matter how old we get, the way we were treated while growing up, stays with us. And as backwards as it seems, the ones we should be able to go to for unconditional love and acceptance, sometimes does the most damage to us. You absolutely amaze me. To know you were raised that way and you’re still such a strong woman (you may not see that or feel that way, but your KZfaq family sees it) is a real help to me! You’re amazing. I’m glad you and Zues made up. He must have known you needed some soul searching time and he knew you’d get there. Have a great day. ♥️♥️♥️

I was treated so horrible by my parents and big sister she hated me the minute I was born.i look back now and realize I made decisions on their remarks it stuck there. I bit my nails and I was constantly shamed for it.If we only knew how we talk to our babies would impact their self esteem.
