I know we are supposed to focus on Kratos since its a God of War game, but this concept of various Greek mythology characters in a race to meet the Sisters Of Fate for their moral and sympathetic goals is actually a neat idea. A movie would be cool focusing on this.

The fact that Kratos showed the restraint and didn't kill him on the bridge is still surprising

Kratos grabbing Icarus and saying "I will use your wings to do it", was telling of what Kratos' intentions were. Icarus may have tried to throw Kratos off of a cliff, but I think everyone would agree that Kratos wasn't exactly hiding his want to kill Icarus and take his wings.

I think it would've been cooler if they made this Icarus's father Daedalus instead of Icarus himself. Daedalus was the one who made the wings he (and Icarus would've) used to escape Crete. But Icarus died, cast down by the gods for flying too close to the sun. Daedalus blamed himself for his son's death. This could've been a nice little continuation of the classic story. That Daedalus went mad trying to reach the Sisters of Fate with his wings, after trying endless times. Desperately trying to undo the death of his son Icarus. Only to be eventually killed by Kratos. Could've been a nice little parallel between him and Kratos. Two fathers who both lost their children in ways that are both their and the god's fault. Both chosing to deal with their grief in different, but equally unhealthy ways.
