This Godzilla was so underrated and I think it captures what he’s supposed to be perfectly. His roar was the second best only to the original and the closeup shots of his face only look great. Even having him blindly following the bird frequency into a volcano was believable. Totally depicts him as a destructive irrational force then a character or a “hero”. This is the darkest of all Godzilla movies and for me excellent. True G Fans have respect for at least some aspects of this one

I just really appreciate how serious they made 85 and dark. Really had hoped the new American Godzilla went that way but it didn’t. They just fluff him up as a hero. I like the idea he randomly challenges other monsters as threats but I would have liked him being more threatening and horrifying to humanity like the original. Maybe with Kong he swings back that way and Kong can be the hero.

Mohammed Hossain Godzilla isn’t really evil in the original or in this movie. You have to remember that he was originally portrayed as a destructive force of nature awakened by the atomic Hiroshima bomb. A metaphor for nuclear weapons which makes him a living nuclear weapon. In this movie and others where he’s portrayed in this fashion, Godzilla doesn’t act out of hatred towards mankind but rather out of rage and self-preservation. You could say he’s sympathetic because in the end of this movie when he falls into the volcano, you can see the sympathy in his face. It almost looks as if Godzilla is crying in that climatic epic ending. Making it seem like he’s begging for forgiveness

-Godzilla's height in this film is 80 meters. -Assuming the distance of each step he takes is about half his height, he travels 40 meters per step. -He takes about 6 steps every 10 seconds, and so is moving about 24 m/s -24 x 60 seconds = 1440 m/ minute -1440 x 60 minutes = 86,400 m/ hour -1m = 3.3ft -86,400 x 3.3 = 285,120 ft / hr -1mi = 5280ft -285,120 ÷ 5280 = 54mi/hr -Godzilla, thus, at an average walking pace, is traveling roughly 54 miles per hour.

@@S.K.R.E.Inc. Yes I am already well aware that the 84Goji suit was stolen and never retrieved to be used again. Which is a real shame because the 84 Godzilla design was so menacing and awesome looking. And since Godzilla Vs Biollante is a direct sequel to the 1984 film, I think it would have made a lot of sense if the 1984 Godzilla fought Biollante. But sadly that vision was not to be due to the suit being stolen and never found again. Don’t get me wrong. I think the BioGoji/GhidoGoji suit looks equally as awesome. In fact BioGoji (aka GhidoGoji) is my most favorite Heisei Godzilla design. But I still would have wanted to see 84Goji fight Biollante in the 1989 film. And we would have seen that actually happen if it hadn’t been for the 84Goji suit being stolen.
