When I was younger, Mark was the old guy who everyone said was once good, but he wasn't good anymore. I never understood it. But then 2009 happened, and Mark showed again how good he is. I forever respected him after that

Here’s something to think about. If Mark Martin hadn’t had this resurgence in 2009, he would’ve have only had 35 career wins instead of 40

At 50 years old he was still winning races at the highest level. Imagine any other sport if a guy who was 50 years old winning something. Football? Hockey? Baseball? Nobody at that age still performs at that high if a level. Mark is a LEGEND!

Jeff Gordon 2007 pleeeeeaaaaaasssseeee. It’s arguably one of the best seasons by a driver in the modern era and one of the most consistent performances of all time, bringing home 30 top 10’s.

Mark Martin is the Sterling Moss of NASCAR. He was runner-up in the championship a record 5 times! An achievable record!

This was the signing that forced Brad Kezolowski out of Hendrick and into Penske. The 5 was supposed to be Brads ride. He was bitter about the the signing for a long time.
