How hard is it to reapply the adhesive?

@@nibelungvalesti In most cases you can just reuse the original one just apply heat and then apply the back plate back over the frame. But if you want to ensure a better seal and prevent anything getting in, you can purchase new adhesive and apply it. If they have pre cut ones, it should be fairly simple, but if not you can buy a roll of smartphone adhesive and just cut it in strips to apply to the frame. That would be a bit more difficult.

@@TeamHahahIt's usually easier to apply it to the phone frame and then put the back cover back on, but if you're applying new adhesive, you don't really need to apply heat.

First off really great video I like how you took the time to clearly show everything also while clearly going through all of the steps. Greatly appreciate that. That being said, on a scale from 1 to 10 how easy would you say it is to repair the Pixel 4XL? because being has the price has dropped considerably I’m really thinking about getting that phone swapping in a new battery and then seeing how long it lasts. I look forward to your reply, keep up the great work and have a good one.

I can’t remove my tiny nail with my tools. It was so hard to open it? I try with hot glue for the nail it press and still doesn’t work. And then I try with rubber band. Still don’t work. I bought this tools for eBay and it was cheap price. This tools only works on iPhone not google phone? They all looking like. I didn’t want to spend more money for another tools for phone. Is it the same thing? Or different tools?

You're welcome. If you have liquid damage, make sure to brush off any corrosion around chips with a brush like a tooth brush etc. Also make sure to disconnect the battery and clean out any liquid and corrosion before reconnecting the battery cable to prevent a short.

Middle ones are for the wireless charging and top gold contacts on the backplate for nfc

No, as long as you remove the bottom 4 screws and that metal plate/cover, you would be able to remove the speaker assembly.

If you accidentally put the SIM card removal tool through the top mic hole, will it ruin it?

Not really since the mic is a solid metal piece it shouldn't get damaged so easily, however on this phone its on a flex cable that's replaceable so if by any chance it was severe enough to tear the flex cable if the mic got pushed back fast enough then possibly you would have a non working mic but the good thing is its replaceable so yep. Again the chance of it getting damaged is very small.

Ya you would need to find a new midframe or housing and just replace all your parts into the new one.

I desperately need some help, I had my screen replaced. The screen is fine but during the process the guy apparently did something and now it will not connect to the internet/cellular network/ nothing. All I see when I try to connect is an X in the bars. When I tried to place a call in a working Sim I got a message saying turn off airplane mode. Do you have any clue what could of happened I am desperately trying to get some help but nobody seems to be able to give me an answer. I would even send the phone to have it fixed and pay u! I'm so bummed my phone is destroyed. Oh and I tried to see if it was a Sim slot issue so I signed up for Google fi hoping it would work and nothing now my number is stuck on there, I'm an idiot! I'm going crazy!

Do you know if it is in Airplane mode and did you try turning airplane mode off? It might also be possible that the main board is not seated properly to make contact with the antennas or a cable or two might not be connected properly. Have you tried taking it apart and making sure everything is connected?

Is it enough to remove the backglass and disconnect the battery connection to the motherboard to remove the battery? Response would be nice

Yes, once back plate is removed and battery disconnected, you can use the adhesive pull tabs to remove the battery

You would need to remove the back cover, the screws and shields covering the connector for the battery and connector for the flash/mic on the back plate so you can remove the backplate completely and then you would be able to remove the battery. You don't need to take the rest of the phone apart aside from that.

@@NeoDeity from what I've seen unlike previous years they're pretty similar. I've seen both side by side and hadn't noticed much of a difference between them. So in other words you're gonna get a good panel either way

They are held in with metal brackets, you would need to remove the battery to gain access to removing the metal brackets holding them in place.

Ah I didn't know 2013 Chinese phone had a minimal chin, radar chip, facial recognition system with infrared illumination & dot projector, dual pixel PDAF, clean android without bloatware and shady Chinese apps preinstalled. It seems that Chinese phone fans really hate this phone and want it to flop badly but can't help themselves from drooling all over new Gcam ports.
