Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching. Today, Ethan, Tator, Dave, and I are called to assist a driver who was on his way to a delivery in an unfamiliar area when he found himself on a road that was closed. While trying to navigate a safe turn around, the driver ran out of space and the trailer dropped off the edge of the road and into a ditch. When the job was called in, the customer was concerned the trailer may roll over. When we got there we still found the trailer in a bad location, but at least it wasn't on the verge of a rollover. However, it did manage to come to a screeching halt right under our "ARC" nemesis, the overhead power lines!!! So, we have to avoid the power lines, get the trailer back on the road, AND make sure that BOTH of us can get turned around and go back out the way we came in. This may seem a simple task, but... Can we manage to get all this accomplished safely??? Watch and see!!!
I'm "catching up" on some of my videos that I've been holding while working on the ECJV Eaton Cummins project. Thanks for you patience! I hope you all enjoy this video!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!

Again, a very special thank you to all my viewers, family, and friends who having taken the time to show their support. May God bless and protect you all!!!

I definitely agree about the not telling Ron what to do but we had a recovery truck in the UK yesterday that went to a lorry broken down and the driver suggested the best way to do it to the recovery driver but the recovery driver told him where to go and I'll do it my way and the whilst towing him the recovery vehicle had to brake and because he had nt done it properly the broken vehicle slammed into the back of the recovery truck causing alotbof damage all because the recovery driver thought he knew best but obviously didn't,but agree Ron knows exactly what he's doing 👍

GPS used to send people to my dead end road. The house they were trying to get to is on another road that comes in from another direction. But the house itself is just a few feet through the woods from my road. GPS don't know how hard it is to carry two pizza boxes through a briar thicket in the dark!

GPS tells semi-trucks to turn onto my narrow road with a dead end on one end and a one-lane tight curve on the other. The driver invariably turns toward that tight curve: used to be a bridge there to a main road, but it's been gone at least 16 years (as long as we've lived here). Police usually have to get involved to shut down traffic so the driver can back almost half a mile into the dead end then jockey the truck into turning on a wider road intersection near it. My road is literally so narrow a semi and car couldn't get past each other. How the driver makes the turn onto it has never ceased to amaze me! We're on the fringes of a sedate smallish town so it's entertainment of the week - lol.

@phillee2814

I now have so many spare 10mm sockets that I have trouble counting them, on account of all the replacements I've bought. 1/4 drive, 3/8 drive, 1/2 drive, deep, thin-wall, impact-rated, Hex, bi-hex, crowsfoot, and probably some I can't remember - all with several of each (maybe half a dozen standard medium wall hex & bi-hex)! If they made 3/4 and 1" sockets that small I'd probably have them too but to be frank, even a 1/2 driver is overkill for a 10mm - it will round, strip or shear even with a ratchet, never mind a T bar or (shudder) a breaker bar in that size, and anyway, I have adapters to change either to smaller or larger drives.

He must be a new driver as this can only happen to a new driver. At an intersection like that, I always make a left turn at the intersection and make a straight backup followed by a wide turn to turn around. I even do that to avoid a 90-degree backup sometimes when I can find shippers or receivers to help stop the traffic. Panic made this happen, I guess.

We do it when the road work folks are done for the day, it just seems easier that way as nobody gets in anybody's way.

Love the videos have been a subscriber for a long while now. Love the work you have done. One concern I have noticed though on you last couple videos that have had you son involved he hasn't been wearing any high vis clothing. I work in traffic most everyday and have had close calls with it on. I know you do a great job promoting safety. God bless you guys an be safe.

The signage on the truck suggests that the driver is probably inexperienced. There is a lot more to learn how to drive a truck than to pass the CDL test.

So many jobs now are reliant on allocators who have no local knowledge of the area where the delivery is to be made. This type of mistake is really common now. Why didn't this driver reverse down that driveway using the other side of the road for setting up the turn? The sign on the back of the trailer suggests that he is an owner-driver? Was he registered as a "common carrier"? (can't refuse a job)
