Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching!! Today, Ethan and Gavon get to tow a vehicle that, even I, in my 30+ years in the industry, have never towed, a Rolls Royce. Vehicle had a flat tire while driving it home from a body shop who had been working on the car for 4 years!!! It's a beautiful piece of history and art. Ethan proves he has what it takes to perform damage-free towing and handle a customer who is not having the best day. I hope you all enjoy this video!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!

Took a few seconds to realize it was Ethan talking! He and Gavon did an excellent job with the Rolls, especially considering the owner got in the way a couple of times. It was impressive to watch Ethan take the time to neatly fold the extra strap. " He learnt good!" And he's one up on you for dealing with the Rolls! And Gavon is coming along really well. They make a good pair!

I can understand the frustration of being without a prized vehicle such as this for 4 years. I have problems with "language" at times myself. It just shows how much grace you have in your life to not take it out on others. Ethan is a fine young man and he has learned a lot of how to deal with people from observing you. But I think that trying to calm them down and telling them that you do not care for their choice of words in this circumstances is not always the best call. Grace in all things can go a long way.

Love seeing the arrow board on the truck. I see a lot of wreckers and tow trucks that just have the standard light bars and I always think that they'd be a lot safer if they had an arrow bar to let traffic know to move over for them. Too many people won't move over for recovery vehicles when they should be afforded the same courtesies that you would for any other emergency response vehicle.

Awesome job, guys! As an antique car owner myself, I can appreciate your care when handling this and every other car you tow. I had a friend that got "new" tires for his '51 Cadillac. The date code was 20 years old. He had one blow that took out the fender skirt and trim to the tune of $8K. Again, awesome job with this one. Please stay safe, and God bless.

When I read that the car had been in a workshop for the last 4 years, I had a feeling the tyres might be a touch old. It's just one of those things people forget about - car hasn't gone anywhere, plenty of tread, still holding air...sometimes not even a sign of sidewall cracking...and we forget that they can still be too old to do the job.

Ron, a friend of mine that did air cooled VW repairs had a customer bring in a very rusty Carman Ghia, and it was so bad that one could look through one side and see through the other side. The mechanic told him to dip it in Bondo and carve it out. The owner said, hey, that's a good car! The mechanic said, in reality, he should remove the gas cap and replace everything under it. I don't remember seeing a worse candidate for restoration than that one. It really looked like they stored it in a pond for a few years. Having said that, it's nice to see a British car in good condition like that one and having it running and driving.

That was a well done grab and go situation and you both worked well together. You're always watching what is approaching and for each other seems almost second nature now, Well done. It's great to see. You learned to never expect that everyone will see the arrow board and move over; that is a luxury no operator should depend on. You have become comfortable with your knowledge and trust your instincts and years of experience to get the job completed and safely. Keep in mind please, the cones should always be put out; It's your third line of defense. You will hear the impact with the cones and that may give those extra seconds to react and get out of the way. I do not mean to criticize, I just want to see both of you get home in one piece at the end of every day.

IF I ever had a low-ground clearance vehicle THAT expensive, the ONLY way it would ever be loaded on or off a flatbed would be using the Rotator, spreader bars and rim-slings... Either that or it would be driven from a loading dock directly onto the flatbed provided it was at the same level as the dock! 😄😁😆😅😂🤣

Ron a small piece of military hisotry for you on Rolls Royce. They built the engines for several British and Canadian fighter planes and sold a license to the PACKARD Motor Company for U.S. manufacturing. The "Rolls Royce Merlin" engines were made in the UK, and the "Rolls Royce-PACKARDS" were made in the U.S. These engines had the same dispacement as the Allison V12's with the exception of the Allison's lacked the turbocharger the Merlin/Packards had.

Way back when I got out of high school I managed a service station and a fleet of vehicles for a retirement home in Missouri and a couple that was in upper management had purchased a 1952 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow. They wanted to take it out for a ride but didn’t realize that you have to be careful with old cars. They ran it out of oil but also continued to drive it until it locked up. I don’t think they ever had it repaired.

Well done guys on an excellent recovery of a great classic car . Glad the boys strapped it down well that RR weighs in at around 4700 lb dry. Point to note is that RR's DO NOT breakdown, the official RR term is 'fail to proceed' . One point for Ethan, please do not say in front of the owner ' lets get this thing off the truck ' their vehicle is, especially in this case, a treasured possession correct phrase is ' lets gently remove this vehicle from the truck' it shows the customer that you respect their property and treating it with great care, which you did very well. A small thing but will get you far in life in this profession.

In the 1970s I lived in England in a village in Essex. I had an old German-spec Mercedes and the only mechanic in the area that could work on it was a shop that specialized in classic cars. I had it in there for some routine brake work and somebody from my office dropped me off there to pick it up when promised as I had to go directly to Cambridge to attend a lecture. Well, it wasn't done as the mechanic had ordered the wrong part, but the shop's owner said not to worry as he'd give me a loaner. It turned out to be a 1970 Bentley (think Rolls Royce upgraded). I drove it to Cambridge that evening and then back and kept it for a couple days until they finished my car. It was terrifying to drive because it was so damn quiet I never knew if the engine was running, it was large, and it was actually very fast. It was also an automatic, which I had never owned and I kept trying to change gears. I was very glad to return it and get my simple old Mercedes back.

Nice job, for the 'record', when Rolls Royce Motors was a 'British Company' you rarely came across a 'broken down one' in London. Why you may ask, yes they were well made and reliable, but nothing is 100%, so there were several 7.5 ton curtain sided recovery trucks cruising about, if your 'Roller' had a problem, pick the phone and one of these trucks appeared and whisked the car away hidden behind the curtain, it was part of the 'service' you got when you bought a RR. Hey Ron, if you are going to pick these up you need to get a 'curtain sided' truck, the cars were brought up to expect this level of service!!
