Overview of the Grand Seiko SBGA231 - one the best I’ve tried from Seiko along with their Spring Drive movement. Enjoy!

I wore this watch for 3 years, could never go back to the pure automatic or steel watches, spoiled by the accuracy and lightness. The watch is extremely comfortable and suitable for daily wear. Check out my review of you're keen to know more. Just sold it and bought the new slga001 limited edition, I'll share my experience after a few weeks.

Funnily I’m also looking at the SLGA001 - looking forward to seeing the video.

No offense but how is that even possible with your 6.25" wrist? The SLGA001 is even larger than the already way, way too big SBGA231 at 46.9mm/16mm thick...I have the same wrist size as you and was really looking forward to the SLGA015 but alas, it is huge again, therefore I can't wear it :( With 6.25" wrists the maximum size doable is about 40mm, 39mm is perfect.

@@MTCBKK Great point there, I thought it was way too big at first but when it's on your wrist, you barely notice the size. It doesn't feel like it's too big, if anything that's what a diver/sporty watch should be. I didn't really notice much difference between the sbga231 at 44.2mm vs this at 47mm. I would suggest to try it on at the shop, if they still have them but don't count it out just because of the size on paper :). One year of owning this, and I still love it, no regret at all from the upgrade! It's harder to find the SLGA001 now due to the limited numbers.

@@thelongnguyens @Long Nguyen alright I will definitely give it a try and the titanium does help a lot I would guess - by the way I've been watching a couple of videos by small wrist guys like us about those 44mm GS divers and yours was great, thanks for that. Did you watch the one by engineer wannabe? He seems to have problems with the clasp and sizing, did you not have this issue? Best regards

Great review Mesh 👍 It’s cool that it’s not coated in DiaShield. Therefore it can be refinished. Also, I believe it’s a lion on the case back 🍻 You’re on a roll my friend, keep them coming 😎

Thanks! This was a purchase that I had to try before going full into Tunas or GS Divers (SBGH255/257).

I dig it. Do you know if there is a display case back available? Would love to see the finishing. If you decide to remove the case back, snap some pics. Nice work with the videos btw.

Don’t think any display backs exist would be cool to see that GS finishing.

Nice watch. Should'nt poke it with a piece of steel shaft. Some wrist time would be nice, too.

I just wrote the same comment, Guess being Dutch and having the Lyon in our Crest (nationaal wapen) makes it easier to identify. 😁😉

It'd be nice if you gave it a clean prior to filming. Just a piece of cloth will do it!

It’s so highly polished that you look at it wrong it’s going to smudge lol

@@djpharoah7XL I know they are stunning to look at. But you could get yourself a pair of cotton gloves and clean it up before hand. It would do your channel well to exhibit a excellent watch in immaculate condition...just saying. 😎

Awesome watch! But you should never conflate Seiko with Grand Seiko. Two completely different levels of watchmaking and two different companies now

Agreed but one draws inspiration from the other.

@@jonasthemovie looks nice but for that money I wouldn't accept anything less than Grand Seiko.

please dont point so close to a watch with a jagged shitty screwdriver, also wear a glove for a cleaner watch.
