The Simpsons Season 4 Episode 19 The Front: Bart and Lisa are go to Grandpa to figure out his first name, so they can use him as the author's name on their Itchy and Scratchy script.

When it came time to come up with a first name for Grampa for this episode, Matt Groening left the room. He had named most of the Simpson family after his own relatives and decided that he didn't want to do it again for Grampa. So the writers came up with...Abraham. Which is in fact the name of one of Matt's grandfathers.

The newer Simpsons episodes aren't bad but I do miss how the writers came up with such good jokes in the early seasons of the Simpsons which makes them classics.

Gearoid Mc Naught the world has changed a little over the last 30 years... the “classics” wouldn’t be popular today because there is no frame of reference for young audiences.

The newer episode is too much of lisa being an annoying knowing it all selfish depress for no reason too much making Bart look back episodes too much Homer being an lazy stupid selfish asshole and Marge avoiding everything
