This is part 10 of my entry into the Great Guitar Build Off 2020 Unofficial challenge.
In this episode I am adding installing the frets, levelling them and adding my logo to the headstock.
This is a challenge being put on by Ben Crowe at Crimson Guitars in parallel to the official Great Guitar Build off.

This is the best explanation of crowning I have seen! I always wondered how it worked as I thought the fret heights would change, but now I understand it. Keeping the black line on top is a great tip. Thank you.

Hi John, There is so much work involved in this it's mind boggling. How many hours did it take to build the completed guitar? Take care John. Cheers, Huw. PS Love your logo.

Thanks Huw. I’m not sure. I should try and work it out really. It’s taken about 4 weeks worth of weekends. But a lot of that time is sorting out the camera and talking. I think if I didn’t have to do that I could make one in 3 weekends.

What a lot of work, no wonder hand built gituars are so expensive.

Thank you although I know I have a long way to go. The engineering side of things really inspires me with guitars. Things have to be just right

Great work. It always gets me though when luthiers say the wire has to have a greater radius than the neck... Not pointing the finger at you; everyone seems to say it. It makes sense of course, but really, it's the opposite.

Thanks. I guess it’s because we reference it from flat. Technically it’s a smaller radius but we call it greater lol

That hadn't occurred to me before, but I'll probably notice it all the time now. I guess "a tighter" radius would be less confusing.
